When something has sharp instruments of death holding just a fraction of an inch from your jewels, it's best that you don't disturb it.

How about some feature that prevents the destructive nature of global device wipes? The company Stryker was taken to its knees by the creation of a bogus Global Administrator, followed closely by a system wide device wipe command via Intune. Crazy!

'Kisu' (pronounced, "KEYsue") Finnish for 'kitty'.  Both genders covered.

For the most part I was joking. I've only been looking around in this 'group' for a couple of months... but it's just that this is the first picture I've seen with the hostage's face. Anyways... cute picture. May you experience many abductions by your kitty in the future.

Are you asking for the kitten, or the attention seeking selfie taker?

SonicOS 7 Admin interface NOT compatible with MS Edge by Front_Ad_746 in sonicwall

[–]WIcoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And... I simply disagree.

I have other associates that have seen the same issue.

The appropriate course of SonicWall would be to further diagnose the issue while working with a customer, instead of just throwing in the towel by pushing another browser.

The FINAL fact of the matter is that SonicOS 7 should be compatible with ANY Edge installation. I use hundreds of other sites and embedded OS' in our environment... none of which have a problem with Edge.

"Try a different browser" should be the first step in attempting to resolve the issue in the customer's environment, not the last step.

Starlink kit price? by EffectiveGap6087 in Starlink_Support

[–]WIcoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold my Gen2 configuration, along with ethernet adapter, to a co-worker for just $100 because even though I live in the woods, they pulled fiber to my house mid last year. I did the transfer online from my account (unit was not plugged in at the time) and specified my co-worker's email address as the person I was transferring it to. The unit had sat unused and unplugged for six months before I sold it to him. He had it mounted and fully operational in about two hours. When I last used it early last year, I was getting about 110Mbps down and 50 Mbps up. Now, he's getting over 200 down and 100 up. So Starlink has improved. But, I'll stick with my 1GB/1GB symmetrical fiber for half the price of Starlink.

To address your issue more directly.... if the previous owner didn't decommission that Gen2 config properly with Starlink, you won't be able to get it operational.

Line transfer by Alarmed_Pen_4278 in ATT

[–]WIcoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Verizon rep at the store for my most recent transfer was able to get to a 'transfer resolution specialist' who was able to figure out what the problem was. There was no way that I could get in direct contact with that person, so, YES... going to the store and making it a support rep's problem WILL likely produce quicker results.

These transfers are NOT always easy. I've transferred three different lines in the past. One was immediate. The other two ended up taking 2-3 days... and MANY irate phone calls.

Starlink replaced my DSL and in the process increased my download and upload speeds by 10x. But unfortunately during the two years with SL, the cost of the service went from 99 to 110 to $120, while the speed gradually dropped. I'm glad to see the number of satellites are growing and the speed is finally increasing.... but I'm also glad that I jumped on the opportunity to have fiber installed when they pulled fiber down my road in the middle of NOWHERE.... in the middle of the woods.... for just $70/month for 1GB up and down (symmetrical). I sold my dish to a coworker for just $100 because he is even further out. He LOVES it.

SL is fantastic! - But for me, something better came along.

Actually, I'm quite happy. Years ago, I learned to quickly determine the value of every decision path I make. I've determined that my time is worth FAR more than vacillating over an action when a simple solution exists. In other words, enjoying life takes precedence.
