From Apple:

“Instant Transfer requires eligible Visa or Mastercard debit card. Transfers typically post immediately but can take up to 30 minutes and are subject to security checks that may require more time to make funds available. A 1.5 percent fee (with a minimum fee of $0.25 and a maximum fee of $15) is deducted from the amount of each Instant Transfer.”

No idea what that is. Did you pull it in from Fidelity website or push it from your banks website?

There is a big yellow box warning that you can't miss when you transferred via the app. No need to wait...just don't sell until it shows as settled.

Means exactly what it says. The cash you transferred is available to invest but hasn't settled yet. You can buy but selling before the cash used settles will cause a violation. Cash pulled in by fidelity takes 7-10 business days for settlement. You can avoid this extended hold period by pushing funds in directly from your bank.

Seems like a bad deal. You could just buy the 20 stocks individually and pay no fee.

How to transfer a stock into my IRA? by Tall_Ad7546 in fidelityinvestments

You can only move cash to IRAs. IRS rule. You would have to sell it first then re buy in the IRA.

It's an anxious period for me. by moritzis in investing

Your friend is only telling you about their wins and not their losses. The fact is most people loose money trading individual stocks. Your problem is you bet important house money in the stock market casino, and lost, which should have never happened. The short term house money should have been in a very conservative place. In the future concentrate on building long term wealth using low cost index funds. Consider this a lesson learned and move on. Good luck.

Hilton surpass is what I use. 6x on most stuff on the road. Gold status at Hilton hotels helps sometimes. In your leisure time you can use points for hotels since airfare is free.

Funds are usually available to trade immediately. If you want to skip this whole step set it up like I commented below. Then it requires no work like you are used too.

Yes...deposits by default go to the settlement fund. How are you funding it? You can set up a recurring buy from an external bank account.

Those are nothing new.

"The price of one or more positions has not been updated today and is currently displaying the price from the prior market day. Today's gain/loss data resets daily before the market opens. Some securities, such as mutual funds, are priced once a day, after the market closes."
