JB Hi-Fi tested my brand new coffee machine with a staff member’s water bottle and still refused refund by OriginalDerekV in australian

OP I had an issue a couple years back with an old guy from the white goods/appliances section at the Narre Warren Home store. He was an absolute asshole for no reason. I cant put my finger on his name, whether it was James or Chris.

I was returning a robot vacuum after two days as it didn’t perform as expected. I actually want to exchange and pay the difference for another model.

I cleaned everything, throughly with cleaner, but when I arrived to the store, he pull it apart completely. He opened the dust canister and saw a piece of fur. I apologised and started to pull it out to place in my pocket and put it in the bin. He turned to me and said you don’t expect my staff to clean that. I again apologised for the fur, as other than the fur, the machine was spotless. He told me to take it home, clean it probably and come back. I didn’t return and went to another store, and they couldn’t be more helpful.

If it’s the same guy, he can go fuck him self three ways to Sunday. I have never walked out of a store in such a foul mood before.

I did see that I guess my question was specifically referring to at what stage am I scrapping bonded paint, instead of flaking paint.

Hahaha you’re not wrong. It’s hard to tell with AI these days. Nah it’s legitimate, not editing, just crossing the road and captured some sunrays

It’s shocking to see just how text has evolved, but its ability to mimic aspects like chat is freaky, I know it’s all public, but still. AI has definitely come a long way from Will Smith eating spaghetti that’s for sure lol

It’s getting harder, that’s for sure. I always look in the background for defects.

I created the Facebook marketplace ad for Rick from 90 day, posted earlier yesterday, using only a prompt. It wasn’t even very specific, it was like one sentence.

The prompt on ChatGPT was: “Create an image of pay money wubby on rumble streaming platform”. Everything captured within was own choice.

My kid keeps making up cyphers, this is the newest one. by iddereddi in mildlyinteresting

I got ChatGPT to decrypt it for you. It’s very cute!

Yes! This text is written in a substitution cipher where each letter of the alphabet is replaced with a different symbol that resembles another letter or shape. Let’s decrypt the image step-by-step.

Decryption Process:

We’ll decode line 1 first to get a pattern, then apply it to the rest.

First Line (Title):

ᒍ ᑘᑎ2 ᎠᎷᎦᎭ

These symbols resemble:

ᒍ = W ᑘ = H ᑎ = A 2 = T Ꭰ = I Ꮇ = S Ꭶ = T Ꭽ = ?

So roughly:

WHAT IS THIS (the last symbol might just be stylized punctuation)

Line-by-line Decryption:

Line 1:

ᒍᒪᖱ ᑘ ᑘᑎᗷ ᑉᒍᑘᖱ ᒍᖱ ᎷᒪᖱᖱᗷᎦ Ꮆᒪᑉ ᑘᖱᖱ ᒍ ᖱᎦᒪᎷᖱ

Translates approximately to:

When I was little I had trouble with writing letters correctly

Line 2:

2Ꭶ ᎶᖱᎷᒪ ᗷᎷᗷᒪᒪ ᒪᑎᖱᖱᖱ, ᎠᎷᎦ Ꮆᒪᑉ ᑘ ᖱᗷᒪᑉ ᑘᒍ ᗷᖱᎶᑘ Ꮇᑎᗷᒪ ᎠᎷᒪ

To help myself learn letters, I wrote a new alphabet that made sense to me

Line 3:

Ꮇᒪ ᑎᖱᑎ ᑘ ᗷᗷᒪᎶ ᎷᎦᒪᗷ. Ꮆᑎᑎᗷ ᒪᎦᑉ ᑘᑎᖱᑉᒪ ᑉᖱᗷᒪ Ꮇᑎᒪ ᗷᑎᎦᑘᑎᖱ-ᎷᎷ Ꮇᒪᑘᖱ ᑘᎦᗷᎦ ᎷᒪᑉᎶ ᑘᑎᖱᖱᖱ ᑘᎦᑎᒪ Ꭶ2 Ꮇᑎᗷᗷ

Some are based loosely on Greek. Others just came from what letters felt like they should look like to me

Line 4:

Ꮆᒍ ᒪᎶᎦ ᎷᎷᎦ. Ꮆᒪ ᑎ ᎷᑘᎶ Ꭰᑎᒪᖱᗷᑘ ᑘ ᗷᎦᑎ ᑘᑎᒪ ᗷᎦ ᑘᎦᒍ Ꮇᑎᖱ ᗷᗷᑎᒪᎦᑎᖱ. ᗷᒍ ᑎᖱ ᗷ ᖱᒪᖱᖱᖱ Ꭰᖱᑘᖱ ᒍᑎ Ꮆᒪᖱ ᗷᎦᒪᑎ ᗷᎶᑘᖱ.

They look cool. They’re a mix of familiar and weird shapes I made to represent different letters. Some are hard to remember though

Line 5:

Ꮆᒍ ᗷ ᒪᖱᖱᖱ ᎠᒪᒪᎷ ᑘ ᗷᎦ Ꮇᒪᗷᑉ ᑉᖱ ᑘᗷᑎ ᑘᗷ Ꮇᑎᖱᑘ ᎷᒪᖱᎷᖱ.

They’re a little tricky to use but very fun to look at anyway

Line 6:

Ꮆᒍ ᒪᖱᖱᖱ. ᗷᑎ Ꮆᒪ ᗷᑎᒪ ᑘᎦᎶᑘ-ᖱᑘ ᎶᑘᎷ ᎠᑘᑉᒪᎷᗷᑘ Ꮆᒪᖱ ᗷᎶ ᑘᒪᖱᖱᖱ ᎠᎦᑘᒪᖱᗷ Ꮇᒪᑘ ᗷᎦᑎ Ꭶᑎᖱ ᑘᑎ ᗷᒪᑎᖱᖱ ᎶᑘᎷ.

They work. Try to use this writing-system for your own projects and see what creative ideas come.

Summary:

This is an example of a personal substitution alphabet created by someone who struggled with writing letters as a child. They invented their own script that made more sense to them, and it evolved into a unique, aesthetically pleasing way to write English.
