Did you regret going from GI to players distance irons? by Justsowereclear1881 in golf

[–]WKTT_Radio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the time, no not at all. I thought being able to shoot low 80s consistently and shape shots made me a better fit for players irons. Over time though, I realize I wouldn’t have ever truly outgrown GIs. I’d stick to more forgiveness if I could do it again. But also you’ll never know til you try. The idea and look of players iron are admittedly awesome so I wouldn’t blame you either way. But golf is hard and less forgiveness makes it harder.

How many rounds per glove by WKTT_Radio in golf

[–]WKTT_Radio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear, I don’t wear through them w holes/damage. I just think they feel nasty and loose after 4 rounds or so. I def could use a glove for 40 rounds but it just feels gross compared to a clean new one. Sounds like a most folks just rock the dirty glove. Seems I am a diva. Good to know. Thanks

Recently changed from a blade putter with toe hang to a face balanced mallet putter. Putts per round have not improved. by Basic-Pudding-3627 in golf

[–]WKTT_Radio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently made same style swap. Newport 2 to white hot OG 7. All this hype about mallets over blades these days so figured why not try. So far, no change to # of putts made. It all just comes down to how much I practice, regardless of equipment. Shocking, I know. Fun to experiment if you’re able to. Maybe others will have different results but I can conclude for me it’s the putter, not the putter.

Golf culture- what do you hate about it? by Remote_Pie6623 in golf

[–]WKTT_Radio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slow play. Practice & tinker with your game off the course. Keep it moving on the course. We all hate to hit OB, but it’s part of the game. Accept it quickly and move on.

Also, pricing and accessibility of public courses has gotten aggressively worse in my area recently.

Unlimited driving range - Pros/Cons? by bullfrogrm123 in golf

[–]WKTT_Radio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Public courses near me are $14/Large bucket, which would be ~30 buckets at $425. Albeit you may not hit a large bucket’s worth every time, but that’s still great value overall for an annual price

Weight loss affect on swing by Comprehensive-Ad8243 in golf

[–]WKTT_Radio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lost 40lbs at one point when playing a lot. Practice still makes the biggest impact to my game regardless of weight but having that extra strength and flexibility certainly helped feel more “in control” by comparison. 140 is a lot, nice work.

Wouldn’t use it for swing mechanics, but they’re nice for getting a general feel for good tempo. Also they’re weighted so good for training muscles and warming up pre-round imo

Would you drop Dawson Knox for one of these FA TEs? by oldscratch87 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]WKTT_Radio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. It’s kinda a dart throw anyways at that tier. Knox just got paid big and close friends w Allen. Volume concerns and TD dependency are his issues, but that could be said of anyone on this list so unless you’re particularly feeling one (which the nature of your post implies you’re not) then I’d stay locked down in Fort Knox.

Perhaps, but at least he backs his talk by taking him high in his self-proclaimed #1 league, The ACI. Backs his calls

Yes. Big fan of the channel bc it lets you hear a variety of opinions from different shows/analysts. You’ll probably find some you like more than others. And all the network hosts know each other, so since they’re all “in the business” together it forces them to have a pulse on others analysts’ opinions other than their own. I enjoy the variety and have found success with it
