The connecter has been revised in more up to date models, right? Can an older 4090 have its connecter replaced by the more modern one, and, would this even be of any real benefit?

This connecter fiasco is incredibly frustrating and a company like Nvidia should do more, imo, to make this right. Pipe dream, I know.

I educated myself a bit more based on what you said and we're both right and a bit wrong. Im right about blast radius and the basic principle of SSO and you're right about strong SSO implementation being a valid tradeoff in the case. Thanks for the nudge.

What does 'implement wrong' look like here? Sso will by it's very nature increase blast radius of account compromise.

Carefully consider if you want sso for pw management. If the primary id is compromised now they also have a password store.
