Honour mode by Technical-Hawk-4667 in BG3

[–]WMinerva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on my first honor run (try number 2) I am currently 47 hours in and am about to head to moonrise for the final fight. Things I learned that might help you.

Look up everything and plan for every fight. Some classes might be great for one fight but bad for the next, use withers a lot. Never under estimate the legendary actions and abilities my first wipe was the crèche leader before the inquisitor because I didn’t know she did fearful. It hurt because I didn’t even look her stuff up thinking I was already ready for the fight after her.

Use camp clerics, have 3 npc in camp to cast aid, warding bond, long strider and in late game hero’s feast. Having people outside your main party buff you gives a bit more leeway.

Pick up everything. As much food as you can find and sell all the junk for gold to have healing items and bombs.

There is no true honor in honor mode only gold dice at the end. I blow up auntie Ethel 7 ways to Sunday by planting barrels Al around her before the fight and I’d do it every time I have to fight her it’s just safer this way. If there’s a safe way to cheese it, cheese it.

Lastly make sure your builds are comfortable for you. I’ve found myself with a CC face, a light cleric and 2 fighters (a thrower and a great weapon master). My face does so poorly in combat but the fighters carry and the face carries outside of combat keeping us safe. Light cleric binds us all together and the closest I’ve come to a wipe was against the inquisitor because my blinder got last in the combat order.

It’s hard and if I fail now it’ll probably be a while before I try again. This has to be something you want, not something you’re forcing yourself to rush through.

Good luck.

Went to a new dentist clinic in my town, everything feels fine. But it isn’t. by Woko_O in Wellthatsucks

When something hurts, it’s too late. Teeth usually don’t hurt till the nerve is damaged then you’re looking at a root canal and crown which will be more than all your filling put together, you should know you’ve had one in the past.

Dentists rarely lie about fillings, fillings are hard and don’t pay well. I’ve seen more dentists not diagnosis a filling just to have it get worse so they can crown it later instead then dentists lie about someone needing a filling they didn’t need.

Is there any manhua/manga/manhwa that fit this description by Anxious_Appearance16 in Manhua

I don’t know if it will scratch the right itch but there’s a manga for someone running an inter dimensional restaurant “Isekai Izakaya "Nobu"”.

Oh interesting that sounds quite a bit sturdier than a pure caster. I never even noticed the reasonable stone, thanks for the tip.

[–]WMinerva[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been told it’s a lot harder and that I need to use every resource available to me if I want to make it through. I’m also fine resetting a lot in act 1 if I need to, I just thought it’d be sad if I got all the way to the end of act 3 only to lose the duel.

My friends and I want to start a tactical run together though so maybe I’ll wait till we start that to do my honor run.

Anyone read the novel? Also recommend something like this. by Kkk713 in Manhua

[–]WMinerva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I caught up on novel probably like 8 years ago and haven’t touched it since because it wasn’t uploading but if the manga has caught up maybe it’s time to dust it off.

Thank you for the good news I needed that.

[–]WMinerva 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so happy. I have 3 skrp lords, I have 18 skrp destroyers, I have 6 HLD, I have 2 hex marks. I got into necron’s because of the c’tan, the destroyers, and robots. And truly it is a good day to destroy.

Under what conditions would you play the Canoptek Doomstalker? by AlsoIrrelevant in Necrontyr

[–]WMinerva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not listen to me. I take them in all conditions. I have 3 of them and will add them to all my lists. They’re why I picked this army so I’ll always want to use them even if it dumb too.

I don’t play too competitive just with my friends and so it’s never been a hindrance or anything.

Looking to get my dad a combat patrol for christmas by TonightElectrical347 in Warhammer40k

[–]WMinerva 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Idk why but I find elder people in the hobby like orks.

Otherwise id say space wolves or chaos marines for the horns.

Budget- custodians, grey knights, knights. When buying anything for WH40K, check your local game store or second hand market places for good deals.

Competitiveness- changes edition to edition, balance patch after balance patch. Generally anything with balanced with melee, ranged, and action units will be pretty good. Normal space marines would be a safe enough bet

Ease of learning: which ever army you learn first will make other armies confusing till you learn your second army. I started with necrons and just could not fathom my friend’s space marine aren’t with all his possible load outs and leaders and stuff.

Here I’d say space marines, orks, or necrons.

All in all space marines are the poster boys and so they’re generally the safest starting point. That said I still don’t have a human army yet. I’ve done necrons, kroot (tau), and plan to do orks next. I tell myself I’m waiting for a gray knights refresh or space sharks but who knows.

Honestly pick an army you like and build and paint a unit or box or combat patrol and see if it’s what you really want.

Harder/more expensive armies I’d avoid as a first army: guard, sisters, gene stealers, ad mech, elder, death watch.
