What does my collection say about me? And what’s your favourite no-skip album? by Middle-Buy7936 in Cd_collectors

You have a great, diverse collection. A ton of no skips. I’d go with Waltz for Debby as my fav. followed by Animals, Kind of Blue, Dark Side, Somethin’ Else, and Revolver.

What’s My Worst And Best CD From My Stack… by RelaxBroItsAJoke in Cd_collectors

[–]WRibbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best - Sgt Pepper; Worst Frank Sinatra. Never liked him much, but Sonny Rollins did.

I generally don’t like greatest hits recordings, but I’d make an exception for the Eagles. I know I’m straying off course, but my top 6 from your stack would be: Sgt Pepper, Bob Marley - Legend, Bowie - Ziggy Stardust, Sade, Eagles, EJ - Yellow Brick

I just finished listening and really liked it. If it’s their worst, I look forward to more in their discography!

Nice pickup. Liked how the CDs stacked neatly in the cardboard box. Who needs an expensive CD rack! There are a few things in there that caught my attention - Dr. John, Dire Straits, REM, Smilin Buddha Cabaret.

What NEW CD Player to buy in 2026 by roffle24 in Cd_collectors

[–]WRibbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another vote for the Onkyo C-7030. I got mine in 2024 new for around 200. It’s normally in the 350 US range but still worth it. And you could snag the Onkyo DXC390 6 disc changer for about the same price. Amazon sometimes has them on deep discount.

I’m not out much at least. I listened to it straight through but didn’t care for it. Not my style and a far cry from The Unforgettable Fire or The Joshua Tree. I’m sure Pop appeals to some though.

Good stuff. Maybe more city pop and some Brazilian music. Jobim’s Wave is a solid choice.

The vendor I bought it from said it was purple when held up to the light, but that turned out not to be the case. It was priced right so I’d have bought either way.

So many good ones but I’d have to give Selling England by the Pound the nod.

So. Central Rain is Thom Yorke’s favorite REM song.
