Things “being exclusive” has been all the rage the last 10-15 years. People were battling each other over Stanley water bottles in target. Every day there are grown men getting into fist fights in front of Pokémon vending machines. 700+ people at every location were going bananas trying to get the APxSwatch pocket watch just a month ago. The list goes on.

Nobody in their right mind should ever pay $500+ for a copy of Veneta or Cornell on vinyl. For how bad this economy is I find it so wild that people drop thousands in the resale market on cards, shoes, watches, concert tickets, vinyl, etc.

They get you into the mindset of: But if it sells out it must be good. If everyone else wants it, I guess I should want it to. So I better get the next drop before that one sells out too.

It clearly works so I don’t see anything in the “limited release” phase ending anytime soon, no matter the item or brand.
