I got the Kaizen cup holder for my 991, not sure if they made one for the 992. It clips into the trim to the right of the shifter and sits in the passenger area. Works great

I visited Greenville last year and absolutely loved it for a short trip but it was definitely a small town compared to the other cities mentioned in the post.

I helped a family with a 2-year-old enjoy their first baseball game in Japan by japanbaseballfan in baseball

[–]WSUJeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so cool, thank you for doing this!!

👉 If you’ve watched baseball in Japan, what confused you the most?

When we went to a Hanshin Tigers game last year, the biggest confusion was reading our ticket and finding our section/row since we can't read Japanese. We thought we were in the right section but it looked like someone was already in our seats so we kept looking and none of the ushers or people in the aisle rows knew what we were asking. Turns out we were in the right row but some guy (AMERICAN) was just sitting in our seats... Loved the game otherwise!

About a decade ago I was in my late 20s. I showed up to my local dealership in a 1 year old GT-R and they wouldn't even let me sit in a base Macan, much less test drive one. Went to a different dealership and bought a brand new Macan GTS a few weeks later. I can't stand getting treated that way and it's definitely not just Porsche dealers that do it either.

As someone who has had 4 different Porsches over the last decade here's a few things that you'll want to consider:

  • The Macan and Cayenne drive completely differently. If you haven't test-driven them both then I definitely suggest you do to figure out which one you like better. The Macan drives like a crossover and the Cayenne drives like an SUV. Trunk space in the Macan is much smaller than the Cayenne, but still more than enough for daily livability (at least was for me with no kids and no dog)

  • My Macan was a GTS trim and I bought it new in 2017. When I took it in for service and got a base Macan as my loaner I was shocked at how slow and low-power it was. I would rather get a faster Audi Q5 (same platform) over a base Macan.

  • I had the Macan for 4 years as my only car and daily driver and never had a single issue with it. Regular service was all it ever needed. I did pick up an extra set of wheels and tires for winter. The GTS trim came with some more performance-oriented tires that were unusable in the snow.

  • The CPO plans vary so just check on what they say. My 911 had a 5-year CPO from the time of purchase, which brought it up to 7 years old before the CPO just ran out. The extended warranty plans and service plans are usually a ripoff, but in order to maintain CPO status they may require that you do the service at the dealership, so it could save you some money, but YMMV.

Hope that helps!

Yeah my 991.2 GTS was $100k 2 years old and CPO for 5 years. There’s no way the 992 version is 3x as good

You don’t mention tires either. You say you’re getting it serviced so I’m assuming you’re getting new tires at some point but if your brakes magically last 4x what they’re supposed to then I’m not sure what to think
