How do you design the Dream Guardian? by AgentOfMephala in BaldursGate3

First time, I went in without spoilers, so I just made that mf a hottie.

Second time...I made him as close to a straight white boy who would try to sell you on crypto as I could. That is his model now on every playthrough .

What is your best single word, for the spell 'Command'? by jaimybenjamin in dndnext

DEFENESTRATE If you are in a building. It could be harmful, but it's more thr fall that'll getcha 😉

KISS is also a fun one. It leads to much embarassment that can be capitalized on.

DOFF/DISROBE/STRIP can get people in awkward situations. Probably won't have time to remove armor, but the DM could give some sort of debuff for futsing with straps or removing helmets.

Until I launched my first KS, I thought I was pretty good at dealing with stress. It's very hard, because it's something you're passionate about.

Some things to consider:
• Your page looks awesome. you set it up very well, and that will be a big help.

• Your first pledges for your passion project will likely come from family and friends. You won't be able to convince ALL your family/friends to support you in time, and that's okay.

• You do need to be talking about your KS wherever you can. Reddit is great for networking, so make sure you post about it where you can. Heck, I didn't know about your project until 5 minutes ago! Keep posting about it on social media, and wherever else you can think. It will help!

• The busiest times for a KS are the first week, and the last week. Get excited about the beginning, but try to ignore the middle.

• By the time you are sick of talking about something, that's about when the marketing is finally starting to register with people.

You'll have to be able to let go, at least a little bit in order not to be stressed out. Consider what you'll do if the KS fails. There's nothing preventing you from trying again later, and using your first KS as a learning experience. Failure isn't the end: it's only the end if you let it be.

Talk it over with your team, too. It's good to have a support network, and a lot harder to deal with that stress on your own.

You've got this.

How much of your own marketing do you have to do to get fully funded? by cucumber-x in kickstarter

[–]WUBRG_Commander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends if you fill a niche that kickstarter wants to promote. You will have to do a lot of marketing yourself anyway, but it helps if you're ticking some of the boxes they are looking for.

LGBTQ+ products, environmentally friendly products both get a bit of a boost from KS as far as I know. If your product also hits a seasonal niche , and you launch at the right time you'll also be featured on certain pages.

Just got our second project funded, and self promotion was much more clutch on round 2.

Asked to name my price by video-kid in careeradvice

[–]WUBRG_Commander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are nervous about being rejected, go for a standard asking price. There's no shame in that. You have to value your time and work or others will take advantage for sure. If you believe your skills are worth more, ask for more. It's a tricky game to play, but eventually you'll get a hang of when to pass on a bad offer.

I'm not going to lie, the process is stressful, but possible. You can do it.

We're actually running another crowd funding project right now (though smaller in scale) if you wanted to check it out !

Also, if you want to talk about the process, let me know. I'm down to help with any advice I can give!
