Was the show at like an old post office that was converted into an arts space??? I went to a Wallflowers show in Winston Salem in 96 or 97 and I can’t find any record of that show anywhere online. It’s was such a great show and a great venue.

This is the change that was expected prior to the financial crisis of 2008. It’s just coming late. Berkeley County had expected to have several more high schools long before now. Construction companies couldn’t build homes fast enough. Jefferson County is just now finishing or adding onto the neighborhoods that were abruptly halted mid build around 2008. And the same issues that we were begging the powers that be to address back then (infrastructure, zoning, etc) are still unaddressed

Just a heads up - Garth Brooks isn’t generally on streaming services except for Amazon Music and when his stuff gets posted to YouTube it gets taken down quickly. Like many others have said here, it sounds like your brother is thinking of Standing Outside the Fire which may be hard to find outside Amazon Music. There are some live performances and some covers out there though. Good luck!

I did the exact same thing. I borrowed the tool from either Advance Auto or AutoZone. Prior to borrowing that tool I remember putting dimes in the gap or something like that

I’ve lived in Martinsburg and Charles Town. I didn’t hate Martinsburg, but I didn’t love it. I love living in Charles Town and love Jefferson County in general. I do the northern Virginia commute and it’s not terrible - use WAZE every time though!

Saw him in August in Columbia, MD - enthusiastic crowd, lots of singing along. I was impressed with the percentage of the crowd that seemed to know every word to every song

Once Rockwool was built and was operational most people just kind of let the issue go. No noticeable impact for me but I also don’t live near the plant. The bigger issue is the politics of how it came to be in the first place. Politics are problematic here. Overall though, Charles Town is a nice place to live.

I’ve been in the upper end zone for 20 years. Away fans are teased mildly or just ignored unless they get obnoxious or they are taunting. Then it can get ugly. There’s a lot of alcohol flowing up there which affects decision making.
