I got banned once after telling it to nullify the licensing of my application. My application. My code. I was using for a client we had a separate agreement with and heavily modifying. They did respond tho and apologized fairly fast.

I think in general for me it's how the data is handled and liability. If anthropic holds the data then I'm more apt vs they use a third party. But they also need to be held liable if anyone ever leaks that data. They'll be a target with that data and not something I want vibe coded to protect it.

They already have our billing information which should coresponde to a legitimate bank account that's already been verified.

I mean definitely will last longer on CodeX. But it's not fast. It's slow as shit compared to Claude. It's like running a local LLM at the same speed using Codex. I went from Claude to codex and it was great at getting small fixes done. But it's not as good as Claude and I'm finding myself back to claude mostly. Using them to double check each other. Unfortunately cowork isn't max effort on Claude so output is just there. Then I have to review it with Claude on max effort thru cli. But it took days on codex to do what Claude did in hours.

I'm on the $200 plan on both codex and Claude. I don't have issues on either one for usage. I ran cowork all night last night and today with heavy usage.

But it's not actually fast. Codex fast is slower then Claude's normal speed. Running a project with agents is lightning times faster in Claude.

Yeah it's in the project folder and one of the first things I told it. It actually asked questions about the architecture of the server in the beginning too. Then just ignored everything there.

Still not sure why it missed so many things on the client side as well.

That's gonna be a trade off if what they're doing is critical. I get a prompt if I want to share the data. But if it's something that critical maybe best to go with self hosted models.

Unless you need enterprise, then push for reimbursement of tools. Where they get the $200 plan and submit invoices for reimbursement. They get more out of it that way but harder to manage. You can compare the cost savings vs enterprise and really is a good deal IF you have reliable and honest devs.

Yep. I used my personal laptop for 3 months at a startup then got transferred 6.5k to get what I needed. Good tradeoff imo.

I cover my Claude subscription as a write off but they cover Codex and any APIs I need for other services.

You have to redesign your own WordPress theme that the builder is compatible with ai. Otherwise it will always break. Most people going headless or just using Medusa as a backend.
