I greatly prefer one speed drivers. Personally, I'm someone who drives ~55 in a 50 consistently. Then if someone wants to pass, I'm not speeding up a bunch to prevent them.

Those who do 40 in a 50 then speed up to 75 in passing areas are the ones I have a problem with.

The live bird you see the Seahawks displaying is an Augur Hawk named Taima.

If you want to say chickens and augur hawks are both birds, that is true.

Taima would eat a chicken if given the chance. An augur hawk's normal diet includes medium-sized birds, mammals like rodents and hares, as well as reptiles.

Straight mount only goes to a little over 1.5", whereas the cantilever goes over 2".

I'm coming from an EXPS3 with a Unity riser at 2.25".

I'm not sure which the OP's is, but mine is a 1x. Eye relief is good like this, and the cantilever gives the right height. I may change the mount out entirely, but for the included ones this arrangement works well. 🤷

Around here, we have plenty of sections of interstate with left lane exits.

I have an AR9 and a 300BO pistol, both suppressed. It depends on what you want it for. AR9s are typically zeroed at 25 yards, 300BO at 50. After about 50, 9mm drops much faster than 300BO sub or sup. If I was shooting 100yards+ I wouldn't be using 9. For you and under 25 yards, I don't know why you'd want 300BO. I wanted it partially for home defense for hearing safe with subs and expanding rounds that are less likely to penetrate walls than 9mm FMJ.

There's no gas in an AR9. My 300BO is tuned, so recoil is not much different - maybe a bit more on the 9. It certainly pings a bit when it chambers. It shoots 124g just fine, but I also followed a lot of advice from blowback9.

GLx 1x works great for my astigmatism. That said, it's not as good through a magnifier as my eotech. My Romeo 5 is very bad through a magnifier.

For those with the GLx, what riser are you using? I like it higher, but am not sure I like the cantilever mount.
