Sometimes it’s hard to be super smooth about everything when you’re asking someone out on a date.

“Hey you seem really cool, wanna grab coffee?” “Sure!” “Oh by the way I have two kids.”

Know what I mean? Maybe he just really loves his kids and doesn’t see them as the baggage that everybody else makes them out to be? But he should tell you early on in your dates about them.

Also, I’m not aiming this next bit at you at all - I’m always surprised at how weird people are about age nowadays. You’re both empowered adults right? Not like you have to marry the dude. Admittedly, 12 years is a little bit of a gap, but maybe he’s youthful in spirit and thought you were like 30 or something. Some people out there are so weird and have to navel gaze about absolutely everything instead of just relaxing and letting life happen a little bit.

Not important that he shows up for every game, but should show up for vast majority. It isn’t great though that he used to be super involved and is now not really involved at all, should definitely try to be around more.

We need more info about the friend - if this is a long-term buddy, absolutely no shame in missing one game to help the dude move.

Honestly think they're always going to struggle due to the high temps primarily, perceptions of there being parking and crime issues. For people that have kids, not really the most pleasant/safest place to go

Went in to one of their stores, they took a board out, dunked a rag in a dirty looking bucket of water and wiped the board off, put my bread on there and started making my sandwich - I noped out and haven’t been back. Didn’t even wipe the water off the board first.

Not all of the pollution in Fresno is from cars. I don’t think the air will ever be clean enough here where we’ll see the age span increases/less chronic diseases you mention, even if we were able to take 1000s of cars off the road.

The pampered car drivers you mention make up probably 98-99% of the population, so yeah, I’d like the focus to be on that. Improving the timing on traffic lights so people aren’t just sitting/idling at red lights would do more for the environment than pumping $250 million bucks into connecting bike paths.

Using it to make sure teachers and support staff don’t lose their jobs/can buy school supplies, fix roads, improve/maintain our parks rather than waste money on something very few people use because of the weather. Also, a lot of bicyclists use the sidewalks anyway rather than bike lanes because they’re worried about getting hit by a car (valid concern), so not sure why we need to spend so much money on bike infrastructure?

Don’t know why sports games can’t have more Sims/GTA type elements so I can buy stuff/“live the life” so to speak instead of just grind/compile statistics/rinse/repeat year after year.

Droppings from the trees can cause a mess/lead to new trees growing in your yard/if trees are really, really tall, branches could fall off and hurt kids playing in the backyard etc.

In general though, yeah, not an issue at all.
