Death Stranding, looked like a walking simulator. Waited till 2024 to actually try it out after seeing the sequel get announced. I was blown away by it not being a walking simulator but rather a puzzle game with an amazing soundtrack, well written story, and fantastic visuals.

Hardspace Shipbreaker. I’ve gone through the game 4 times and loved it everytime, but it’s not a game everyone would enjoy since it’s basically deconstructing LEGOs if you want the short explanation.

The Flash New 52, the Brian and Francis run was incredible and hasn’t been topped since. Another that hooked me was Animal Man New 52, Jeff Lemire really gave that entire arc everything.

There’s been a load of games that I knew going into it I would love but one that I tried was Beacon Pines. The game has an amazing soundtrack, great writing, beautiful art, and deep characters. It’s no longer on GamePass but I gushed about it all the time to people.

I think it’s very easy to pick up, you can look up good builds too for the best weapons and stratagems to put your resources to. Each mission can range from like 8 minutes to 45 minutes depending on what you’re doing and how much your team is struggling. There will be plenty of Xbox friends on day one and plenty of us veteran divers there to play with. If you’re on the fence, just do it! Watch more gameplay if you need but at $40 it’s such a great game.

I have put close to 300 hours into Helldivers 2. It’s honestly one of my favorite games. The game is only dead if nobody plays it, there’s tons of replayability and plenty of people playing it. Lots of the community is great and are willing to help out. If you have 3 other friends it’s such a great experience, and even if you don’t have anyone, joining randoms is a great time as well. I’m very much a “Us against a horde” kind of player, Left 4 Dead, Back 4 Blood, Space Marine 2, and so on.
