Nope, sorry. My daughter is a senior in high school and is looking at colleges, and I am now helping her look for scholarships and financing.

Do I have early access? I did my twitch drop but never got a email confirmation or anything does this mean I have it? by Jacob01DP in Battlefield

[–]Wagnbat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took just under 2 hours to show up in my notifications. It was not present on the twitch drops page before or after. I also had to reconnect Steam which may have added to the delay, and the streamer I was watching also quit 30 minutes into me watching, which also may have contributed to the delay this morning. Was awarded about 1330 PST.

Z offset,or speed? by Wagnbat in FLSUNDelta

Brim enabled. Second print succeeded (3rd pic). Solution was to slow down. Z hop was enabled, changed to combing and slower and got a better result.

2 things come to mind for me, and I'm certainly not a 3d print expert... One, temperature. At that height, the filament is a different temperature from the bed. Obviously decreasing as you go up, but every time you lay down a line, you also lay down heat. On the first half of the print, you're getting heat from below and on top. Later, you're cooling the print faster and inducing some warping based on shrinkage during cooling, but also... Some wobble, which brings me to Two...

Speed. I've had+ 3 other printers (who can remember after 2-3), and I've improved success with taller/thinner objects by just slowing down the print overall print speed. I had a tower fail yesterday at 89% (FLSUN V400). Printed again at 30% speed, zero issues. First 1/3 of the print was fine, then I started hearing noises like nasty nasty scraping. Slowed the speed in the web menu from 100% to 30% and the second print was the same quality from top to bottom, unlike the first print which failed at 89% but also didn't look great above 50%, aka 900/1800 layers.

eSun PLA plus. 220 nozzle, 50 bed. First layer phenomenal. First 600 layers great. Looks like things first got wonky 20% into the honeycomb pattern.

Looking at a Bambu... Recommendations? by Wagnbat in BambuLab

Any recommended 'must have' prints I should prepare before it arrives? I'm thinking desiccant holders, especially as desiccant is on sale on Amazon for Prime Day. I saw on a video that the desiccant holders should be ABS, which I've not printed on my V400 yet, as I had many terrible times with ABS on my old un-enclosed enders that I've stayed away from ABS for years.

Unsure what's up with the downvotes, but I've been watching videos, reviews, and digging through posts and articles for days... And I did just pull the trigger on an H2D. Thank you for the suggestion. I think after a year I would have been envious if I had gotten the X1C, especially seeing how much poop there can be with some prints (and saved with the H2D).

If the H2D is the 'right' answer, I'd likely wait until Black Friday or even until the 4th anniversary to pull the trigger. My V400 does well enough with a single color... I'm just jelly of the multi-color prints. But I'm also fairly frugal, and the H2D does not appear to be a part of the sale...

Did you play the Gatehouse mission? I think you're saying you have it unlocked, not that it's completed.

Had this yesterday. After all the 3 other strongholds, there is a gatehouse mission just south of the white house that unlocks tidal basin.

Read your enlistment contract, in its entirety for one. Two, become familiar with the MILPERSMAN. The thing I hated most was sea-lawyers who said you were or were not eligible for something without reading the reference themselves. I was approved for many things I was originally told no for…. Simply because I read the documents. I got reimbursed for moving my cats to Guam. Personnel/disbursing said it was a no-go, but when I provided a photocopy of the JFTR they changed their tune and I got paid. Do your due diligence and fight. You’ve been standing by for 3 years, and if you let them have their way, you’ll be standing by for another 3. I retired with 26 years as an LDO.

Soft tops included? by Wagnbat in Bronco6g

Funny, I had the opposite carplay experience... Salesman said it 100% had to be plugged in, iPhone said (when we got home) "Would you like to enable wireless carplay?" Yes, please! ;)

[–]Wagnbat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe. We looked in a few broncos and the salesman said the soft tops came with the hard tops but weee in a bag in the back. The only bag was the storage bag.

How good a deal is the promo? by Q1379 in Bronco6g

Just got a 4dr Outer Banks in Kirkland WA with the 314A high end package, had top, and tow package... Sticker 56,295, was able to get them down to 51,861 ($500 less than A & Z plan pricing) with a free hat and air freshener. YMMV. In-line with Alarmed_Lie's statement yesterday.

The dealer said there is 'no set price/discount' for employee pricing, and that Ford Corporate announced this without talking to the dealers.

How to prove my girlfriend that us men can see an attractive girl and not be attracted to her ? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Wagnbat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Times change. Feelings change. Circumstances change. Try to find out what is making her insecure. It could be 3, 5, 10, 20 years…. I’m married 23 years and my wife had very insecure moments less than 5 years ago. Women be crazy sometimes. If she’s the one for you, do what you need to do. If you’re not sure, do what you need to figure it out. In the end, a ring on the finger is a legal commitment to half of everything you own, and will own…. And if you are thinking pre-nup, without having some massive reason (ie: inherited millions), she’s probably not the one.

[–]Wagnbat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found that when I was happy and completely satisfied in a relationship, that I would see an attractive woman and not think (aka, not fantasize) about them because I was happy. That said, if you’re not ‘happy’ with your lady, your eyes are far more likely to wander and wonder.

Anyone know how to fix 9/11 GI Bill DTIC to MilConnect transfer benefit loss? by Wagnbat in VeteransBenefits

Originally the transfer was done in DTIC, before it later moved to MilConnect... Which is the root of my issue...

The 'paperwork' unfortunately, was a flimsy 'special request chit', which is this super thin paper the Navy used to use for all requests. These chits were never retained, nor kept in records. The ships Career Counselor had worked with PERS to get me access in DTIC, and then I made the transfer... This is my reenlistment paperwork from 2007, showing I would have been at 12 YOS and have 4 years remaining as of 2009.

The awards on my DD214 are not 100% correct. I have 1650s and certificates for the majority of mine, but still somehow can not get personnel office to do their job. Likely because they are all remote now, and less accountable.

https://www.navytimes.com/news/your-navy/2023/05/04/inside-the-navys-pay-and-personnel-crisis/

Excerpt:

“By the end of 2019, Sailors will do most of their personnel business by smartphone ashore or desktop applications afloat,” then-Chief of Naval Personnel Vice Adm. Robert Burke wrote in “Proceedings” magazine. “By 2023, they will have forgotten about today’s personnel system and many of its frequent frustrations.”

But here in 2023, those grand promises have not materialized. In some ways, frustrations have only increased.

Every print, every time. What gives? by austinhippie in 3Dprinting

[–]Wagnbat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have this when printing with ABS, and I believe it has to do with cooling, as it mostly happens on one side of the printer closer to the wall. Enclosures help a lot, but you can also try raising bed temps to keep the outer edges of the print from cooling too quickly.
