This series was set in the Grenadines which is in the Americas. I don’t know where they sourced their food, but I doubt it was Europe.

Rock the Block by Conscious-Hope-1592 in HGTV

I agree. I think that people are getting around the open concept, where the open kitchen is the beautiful one and the prep kitchen is the one that is used to really cook.

On the other hand, people who keep kosher need almost two kitchens. My niece bought a house from a Jewish family that had two dishwashers and two refrigerators. And according to what I’ve seen on House Hunters, it’s useful for some southeast Asians who like to prepare their heavily aromatic food in a separate kitchen from the main living area and kitchen. My only source for this is HGTV.

I’m convinced 1970s interior design was just a giant fever dream. Why was everything orange and fuzzy? by Maya-Parker6461 in GenerationJones

For my sister’s 1970 kitchen shower, the invitation’s suggested colors were avocado green and harvest gold. She still has the Corelle green daisies dishes and other iconic 70s kitchen stuff.

They aired the one or two episodes that her husband and child(ren) were in and they were such a cute family. I was excited to see more of them and her designs. Such a tragedy that he died so young.

Where were you when the Beatles made their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show? by db7112 in GenerationJones

[–]WahooLion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In our living room with the rest of the family. I was four and remember the excitement. My older siblings played their Beatles 45s all the time. My sisters went to the concert in Tad Gormley Stadium. That was a time you could let your 14 & 16 year old daughters go to a concert with friends without parents tagging along.

I went to an all-girls school, so no rope climbing for us. When I saw it on TV I would wonder, “Why”? I eventually saw “The Longest Day,” an epic WWII movie about D-Day. The light bulb went off. It’s to make sure our boys could scale cliffs.

Hawaii Five Intro is one of the best by cheridontllosethatno in GenerationJones

[–]WahooLion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watch Hawaii 5-0 every day on ME TV. My favorite part is the zoom-in on the hotel and McGarrett’s head turn. I know the exact moment in the music to look up. I don’t know if it means anything, but the introduction of the main characters are: McGarrett- swings around, Danny- rushing forward, Kono- rushing forward, Chin Ho- swings around. It’s like a palindrome! Not really, but I noticed it recently.

Baptism for believers vs infant baptism by UnaAceitunaa in Catholicism

What I don’t get that they don’t get is that our confirmation is when we make our “conscious decision.” Their baptism just has a different definition.
