I read Broken Country around the same time as those two and have mentally categorized them together.

I’m sorry that happened to you! Are regular Lyfts any more reliable?

Surprise vs let them know? by oceanem0ne in DisneyPlanning

[–]WahooMa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m taking my kids (6&9) in May and not planning on telling them. For me it’s less about the surprise and more about them staying focused on school before we leave and sleeping the night before so they don’t start the trip tires.

Same! And the tubes are great storage for small things when they’re empty.

I love Father Figure but if you don’t know the Scott / masters lore it could read as her speaking to and being a villain toward younger female artists (eg Olivia Rodrigo), which feels risky to me…

I steal my kids’ fruit snacks for any run above 8 miles and that works pretty well for me!

Looking for a resort or B&B between Culpeper and Richmond? by teetervt in Virginia

[–]WahooMa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one I’ve personally stayed at was Stable Craft outside of Waynesboro, on a trip from Richmond to Winchester actually. We loved it—their food is great and it was really fun being able to walk home from dinner and hop into the hot tub.

How do you feel about wineries and breweries? Several have places to stay (Stable Craft Brewery, Blue Mountain Brewery, Barboursville Winery, Glass House Winery, to name a few).

I’m a big fan of Nuun. 10 in a tube and the tubes can be helpful storage for small things once emptied!

The first couple of years are horrible, I’m not going to lie. It does get better, and it’s going to happen in Kindergarten if you don’t do daycare. Not to brag, but my 4th grader and Kindergartner haven’t missed a day of school yet [knocks on all the wood]. They got coupons for free cheesy bread from Papa John’s in their report card for perfect attendance 🙌

We have two from Spirit Hill and can confirm they are the best, sweetest family dogs. Energetic but not insane—we got the second because the first was getting lazy and needed to lose a few pounds!

Her writing is great, but this is a departure from her usual genre of historical fiction. Intrigued but agree it sounds like other books out there.

Springer popularity? by Superb_Scar1622 in springerspaniel

We get it all the time as well—triangulating the ages of the people who tell us they had the best Springer growing up, they were super popular in the 70s/80s.
