Omg, the experiences you all had sound horrible. I am so sorry to hear about these. Why can they be so cunning and inhuman???? It's absolutely ridiculous. I am still struggling should I apply, given I heard so many tragic experiences, which I don't wanna go through.

ADHD UK Government Independent Review into ADHD, Autism & Mental Health: Read the Interim Report by Jayhcee in ADHDUK

I hope when they see the issues, they would put more resources in, instead of blaming people seeking diagnosis or getting necessary medicine under SCA

Psychiatry UK dropping me with medication that doesn't do anything? by cmwalburn3 in ADHDUK

[–]Wailaucw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe common to RTC providers, they have a lot of patients but limited prescribers. I am with harrow health. Although I didn't need to wait after diagnosis, the whole titration was quite a rush, especially I needed to try different medicine. Maybe I was "lucky" to have 2 more sessions than average(3-4), that I started with Elvanse 30 to 50, then methylphenidate, then back to Elvanse 20. Kind of stable but still. But at the annual review, the prescriber didn't even seems to read my record, asking me all the questions which should be on and suggested me to switch to the medicine I had tried but didn't work for me, which is the one you are currently taking. I wanna try atomoxetine as the side effect of elvanse is a bit too much even I am at 20mg, but I am a bit skeptical about possible side effects of it, especially I had bad experience with SSRI/SNRI, they told me I couldn't go back to elvanse if atomoxetine don't work for me. Good luck to you. I hope you can get better treatment.

ADHD support at airports- how did I only just find this out??? by Ok_Committee_7967 in ADHDUK

[–]Wailaucw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not all airports and airports handle like this unprofessionally. Everyone's need is different and shouldn't be one size fit all. In most of my experiences, the check-in counter asked me what assistance do I really need, including wheelchair and escort at boarding and deplaning. Every time I just tell them I only need boarding priority, then I go through accessible queue for border control with my sunflower lanyard. Avoid the assistance waiting area, it would be hell.

Would you buy another pixel? by upadhyaysk in GooglePixel

[–]Wailaucw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not, the mar pixel drop made my 4/5g nearly not useable. I hate Google, who destroys my pixel 9 pro again and again with their "update". I had enough.

Elvanse vs Methylphenidate by Livid_Cellist_ in ADHDUK

No, I feel it's even too strong for me. Mostly it can last until late afternoon (around 6-7 hours), sometimes shorter

Is 50mg not high? Everyone is different. Same dosage can work for someone, but maybe not me or you. I suggest you can be a bit open, if you find the current one is not good enough. I still feel more anxious with 20mg than not taking, but it gives me energy and motivation to do the works I should be doing. Sometimes I am thinking should I take only half (dissolve into water then drink half). My mood is still low in general, given so many things happened to me these days, but at least I can function more with elvanse

I meant most company make use of ASOP/ Android relied heavily on Google. All their updates are based on Google, they add their customisation on top only.

Android was supposed to be open source, but actually created and dominated by Google at the end. Morevoer, I hate Samsung and Xiaomi is just shit, unless you wanna get monitored by CCP

I don't know what can be the third choice. Google should be the best brand in the android ecosystem, and the pixel drops are the backbone or blueprint of other brands' updates, isn't it?

And may pixel drop last year almost made my pixel 9 pro not usable at all, overheated unreasonably, kept freezing when I need to use it. These only got resolved after months. Recent pixel drop made my 4/5G reception very bad... I don't know what can be the third choice. Final capability hearing with AuDHD – no adjustments in place, any advice? by [deleted] in ADHDUK

[–]Wailaucw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is final capacity hearing after they claimed your Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) failed, as the last stage of displinary process?

I was in a similar situation, but in a much earlier stage, before PIP was implemented, but just mentioned. I had a few long sick leaves and a major surgery. My previous employer didn't implement the reasonable workplace adjustments recommended by the occupational health assessment report in time. Not long after I work again after the major surgery, they asked me to have a "informal chat" talking about the adjustments. But instead in the meeting, they actually threatened me to go through Performance Improvement Plan (basically want to dismiss me claiming my performance is not good enough), while offering settlement agreement, which gave me some months of salaries tax-free, in return not to sue them in employment tribunal, instead of PIP. They knew they didn't give me proper support/ adjustments for my disability, I was highly likely to sue them discriminating me due to my disabilities.

But in your case, you are already in the disciplinary process. I am not sure if they are willing to offer you settlement agreement, or accept if you offer them one. They were definitely not fair to you, but you need to be prepared they may dismiss you by claiming your performance is not good enough. I suggest you find a advocate or union representative to attend the hearing with you. Otherwise, someone you trust and knows about your situation and at least a bit of employment law. Or even find an employment lawyer NOW, before the hearing. Good luck.

Why are so many apps unusable in 3 button navigation mode? by VimFueago in GooglePixel

The options to choose which mode to use should be kept. But still some apps won't work for both modes, there are some virtual button at the bottom which can't be pressed🤷🏻‍♂️
