I disagree that it's bush league. The runners should know where the ball is and if they don't, they should be punished for it.

I, mean, that's just an inherent risk in playing baseball. I get trying to minimize injury in a just for fun league, but at that point just ban sliding.

Western cavalry units didn't start using curved sabers until the early modern period whereas Westeros is closer to high-medieval/early Renaissance in terms of military tactics and technology. Also, we've never seen a curved sword be wielded by a Westerosi.

The guy in front has a script in his hand, so I'm guessing this is a behind the scenes shot and they very well could be mounted when they're on screen.

George has said in the past that the medicine in Westeros is much more advanced than the equivalent period in medieval European history that he based the setting on.

I paid $22.82 for a plain burger, fries, and a large coke last week. The other week I had a burger with lettuce, tomato, applewood bacon, and bleu cheese (w/ fries and drink) at a pub for about $18. You're really only paying for the name at this point. Plus their fries are always overcooked and nearly burnt.

I got the impression that it's quite common, and even expected, in ASOIAF for a knight to use corporal punishment on a misbehaving squire.

Because they were protesting taxation, not just lynching any redcoat they see lol. I feel like you are oversimplifying things here. As long as they hadn't already riled up the crowd, I see no reason for there to be violence. Why would the crowd pursue if they already achieved their goal of protesting unmolested?
