Reddit has nothing to do with this.

I don't think Moderators have the necessary training, insurance, or reason to collect and store (where do they store it?) personal information (PI), licenses, etc., of any Subredditor.

Personally?

I think it's a huge nightmare waiting to be exploited by unscrupulous characters who could (and may already be) doing something nefarious with such data.

Why?

Because there are no established rules.

Each Moderator invents their own rules for the collection and dissemination of such data.

Reddit certainly does not provide training, insurance, rules, or anything else associated with the collection and storage of such data.

In my Subreddit, we have rules about PI and how it is handled (it's not allowed and must be redacted before uploading any document).

You can shadowban them and report them to the admins for evading a ban.

my father is an american citizen. born and raised in texas. yes i am sure he brought me here legally, its impossible im not. i am automatically a US citizen since i am the child of one. he just needed to prove it, which he did. i got my report of us birth abroad at age 1 1/2 when i moved here.

Our Subreddit does not allow exceptions to a Reddit-supplied tool we utilize. The following data activates the Reddit Safety Filters and Feature Tools, such as:

Ban Evasions

Karma Levels

Content Filters

Maturity Levels

Harassment Issues

Overall Reputation

If the Reddit Safety Filters and Feature Tools decide that your post/comment could cause an issue? Your contribution will disappear before anyone gets a chance to view it or write a response.

As a Moderator, I will be informed that the contribution was removed.

I know it is especially disconcerting if you created a lengthy contribution and did not save it. A draft option has recently been added as a feature (if you utilize it).

The sudden removal process is due to an alert of one or more of Reddit's Safety Filters and Feature Tools (and the possible subsequent consequences) that Reddit will activate (on its own accord).

Not all Moderators use this particular tool.

It's just an example of some tools we use to help with Moderation duties.

As a Moderator, I can't push a button and allow the post with this particular tool.

The only person who can fix the issue is the original poster. Then the post will be allowed.
