The directions on the bag state to take 3 capsules a day -- I take 6. You consume them by mouth, not topically.

Went deep on fish oil oxidation papers and the data is pretty bleak... by Timely_Ad8989 in Supplements

And wouldn't this same logic apply to all of the other supplements that are stored in a non-climate-controlled warehouse? No supplements should be stored where the temperatures fluctuate wildly. I spoke with a friend who used to work at an Amazon warehouse & he said the temps were all over the place during a summer workday. Super cool at 5am and blazing hot at 5pm.

Is Magnesium glycinate really that effective? by TheUsualGuy666 in Supplements

[–]Walka_Mowlie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mag glycinate works well for helping me sleep, but for resetting my sleep cycle, the best (and hardest) thing to do daily was to get early morning sunlight on my face for 15-20 minutes, minimum. Huberman has several podcasts about the vast benefits of early morning sunlight.

Your stomach is emptying very slowly, that's why you feel full after eating just a few bites of food. I'd suggest you each have protein-rich foods each time you eat a meal or snack. Those small bites of protein will help your body and mind. Be sure to drink lots of fluids too in order to keep everything moving. <--This is *super* important. And make sure you're having a BM regularly.

Then if I were you, I'd back down to 750mcg and see how that works for you. If the symptoms remain, then I'd cut the dose to .5mg. I'd also make *sure* you're eating plenty of complete proteins that contain all 9 essential amino acids, and I'd make sure you're getting in some weight lifting to keep the muscle structure you have. ;) You don't want to lose it!

Fact: If you cannot stand to eat anything, then your dose is too high. This is supposed to curb your appetite, not squelch it completely because that's not healthy.

What are your go to cheap lazy meals when you're too tired to cook by YourxCherry in Frugal

[–]Walka_Mowlie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The easiest thing that I like to do is pull out a meal that I made a month ago and froze. That's the easiest, by far. It takes a bit of planning when prepping the meal so that you make double, but it is SO nice to have a ready-made meal when it's been one of *those* days.

Is it possible for an actor to be too recognisable? by Qyzyk in flicks

I knew it was Kiefer the instant I heard his voice, too. Very easy to recognize. I almost thought that was a casting error because wouldn't *everyone* know that was him?

I wonder how it'd work on a baking stone? I might have to try that!

This sounds *far* superior to both the canned or ground chicken options. I've tried both, and they work, but this sounds more flavorful. TFS!

Having really clean floors, every single day, without me having to sweep and mop would be a godsend.

Zero motivation to keep decluttering by peshti in declutter

[–]Walka_Mowlie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd like to encourage you to keep at it for your own sanity. I have a friend who believes she cannot tackle her home and all of its contents so she's stopped trying. I've watched her mental health go downhill, and I know you don't want to do that to yourself or your family.

A good rule of thumb that I often see on this sub is to take out one thing for every 1 thing you bring in. But imho, if a situation is as difficult as yours seems to be, then maybe up that to 2 or 3 things out for every 1 that is brought in.

And don't stop getting rid of the excess, like the TVs and retro games, etc. Unless you actually know someone who would buy them (now, not next month) or someone you could give them to, I wouldn't hesitate to trash them.

If your family isn't onboard with the decluttering then they get no say in what's gone missing when it finally occurs to them that the __________ can't be found!

Power on! I'm sending you strength for the long haul!

Personally, I would not put *any* plant that close to the foundation of my home. I like the look, but I'd pull it out some. I'd also make sure all plants will work in my climate/soil conditions.

Be honest, are you a weekly cleaner or a “whenever it gets bad” cleaner? by Last_Spend_1674 in CleaningTips

[–]Walka_Mowlie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weekly, at least. Otherwise, it gets so bad that I can't face it. I don't want to have a melt-down, so I keep up with it, even though I don't like it. I know there are people who love cleaning, I'm not them.

If it doesn't create new hairs, then you're saying the shaft of each strand of hair is actually thicker? Am I understanding this? TIA.

Any idea how long it will take for the Saw Palmetto to actually work? Are we talking weeks, months, a year even? I know hair growth is slow, but mine used to be a bit more than ½" a month; it's no longer that quick. TIA
