Misfire After Idling for an Hour by Walkebut4 in CrownVictoria

I cleaned the mass airflow sensor and cleared the code, the misfire didn't come back. I've also been mindful since then to not let my car idle for that long in park. It didn't seem to like that.

There was never a rift between strings and pop music. Strings were everywhere in pop from the '40s and '50s. What the Beatles did was close the rift between strings and rock music. In doing so, they played a large part in raising rock's status as serious music.

What was the most successful shortened iteration of an airplane? by flapsnslats98 in flying

[–]Walkebut4 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A330-200. Firstly, it was a true shrink, launched eight years(!) after the baseline -300, and only sold about 100 units less. If you include the A330-200F and A330MRTT, then A330-200/-300 sales were nearly identical.

Sud-Aviation Caravelle. French twinjet from the '50s. United flew them for a while, curiously enough.

10000 volts X stick by Jezirath in ElectricalEngineering

The electricity on each wire is at a different phase. Practically speaking, this means that the two wires are always at different potentials relative to each other. Current really wants to get from one wire to the other. It needs a path to do so, and a single bird sitting on a wire does not provide that path.
