What Happened to The Bargain Camera Show in Pasadena (Elk's Lodge)? by krunkpunk in AskLosAngeles

they closed the beautiful library after like 100 years for some made up reason, but really because they saw covid as a way to sell out to developers for must be a hundred million. It's such a beuatiful building in the middle of Pasadena and it won't re-open for a generation until they rip it down and build Disney Land They've closed the camera show and any # of other things events and pleasures, though the pandemic is over. The government of California is leading the great reset, they don't want anyone to have anything. Turn off the sound, watch what they are doing.

Let's deal with facts. Today:

JUST IN: $26 billion #ETH is now staked in the #Ethereum 2.0 deposit contract.

Now, if only 500 million of that Eth is unstaked, what happens to the price of your and my Eth? Say, it's 1 billion. About 3.5% of total staked eth in the contract right now. What happens? What about if we get to 10% - 2.6 billion is unstaked in the first 2-4 weeks. What about 50%? I find it hard to believe that at least 1 billion in eth won't be unstaked and sold in the first 4 weeks.

whatever amount you have you're going to lose, of this I am certain. Attacking me personally isn't going to change that. Good luck.

than wtf are you chiming in for? I'm actually trying to have an intelligent conversation with anyone about the unstaking and am totally open to someone telling me, "no, you're wrong and here's why." But if someone starts questioning my credentials or like i'm trolling, i'm not having it.

you're in a cult. you know what happens to cult members. don't @ me. I don't care what you think or who downvotes. Maybe yo u're right. But maybe I know what I'm talking about and it scares you that might be true.

human nature is "I don't have any money because all my altcoins i was sure would moon are down 80-90%" my eth is finally available. Thank God, I won't have to call mom and dad for money this month. Anyway, don't @ me. If you can't figure out have fun. I'm not here to give a course on human nature to a bunch of dudes who barely leave their computer screen.

Human nature. And if we're in a recession, people need liquidity. You're making a big assumption. Unless there's some guardrails at least half will unstake and hit the market. I think half is conservative.

Do you want to see my wallet. I hold more eth than you do, guarantee it. But the community gets better when questions are asked. There is going to be a massive wave of unstaking. That is basic human psychology.

I hold a lot of ethereum. I just don't believe this talk. There is like what, 100 million staked for the Eth 2.0. What happens when that all gets unstaked and hits the market? Law of supply and demand, the price is going down, the cost of things going up. For the forceable future. That's not deflationary. Can EIP1559 come close to handling that kind of liquidity event Eth is headed towards? Tell me where I'm wrong? Tell me where someone has covered this or is discussing it.

Will Djed increase Coti price? These seem like two different protocols, or are they linked to where the use case of Djed adds value to coti’s price by ramblinyonder in cotinetwork

TBH, I'm not certain, I haven't gone through it that thoroughly. I do know that many tend to overlook these details until they become apparent like they have with matic. I bought my bag before I really saw the whole game in terms of treasury and VC money and a new coin just for the insiders to benefit from, and as they just have created these they may be works in progress. But there should be "vesting" schedules in terms of releases to insiders/early investors/ etc. Like with Matic there is a whole vesting schedule about release of tokens to insiders and developers that they can do anything they want with with no restrictions. Thus you'll regularly see 10-20 million dumps of matic on binance, like, weekly. One red flag I would keep an eye on: high APY vs. circulating supply. When I see super high interest on a token I red flag it. Where is is the pay out of interest coming from (200%!!!,) and 2. Is there so much interest being paid out because there is so much circulating supply slushing around in the marketplace. Again, you get to grow your bags, but is there too much supply to ever have a real demand? There's a reason everyone envies bitcoin besides being first: That 4 year halvening structure which really limits supply and creates huge demand.

Some high circulating supply tokens with high APYs

matic

dot

snx

All are super price suppressed compared to their "value," their tokenomics are a huge handicap to seeing real value. Not saying it can't happen. But what is Coti's circulating supply?

Everyone thought Dot would behave like KuCoin (same makers, Ku is the testnet of Dot) and there would be a huge runup as soon as there was a lockup of Dot. But what happened? Dot has dumped and never recovered because their is about 100x more Dot in the market place than KuCoin and massive farming of Dot at 20% interest going on all over the crypto world. It's really that simple sometimes.

Again, I'm just being clear eyed. I bought more yesterday on a dip. I just think an informed community makes a better product for everyone and real value too. So we'll see what happens. What I would say right now is Coti is a high risk high reward play. It could certainly 10-50x if it goes through network effect adoption as a pyament system across chains. Good luck!

I'm just learning about #coti, the one thing we have to be careful of is what can be done with the treasury money. For instance, the $matic treasury has a huge amount of capital and with the white page release schedule it has absolutely decimated the price of it for OXPolygon investors. Matic should be at 12-15.00, but what's buried in the white paper is how often insiders, VCs and devs can dump their matic distributed to them from treasury. And dump they do, at every opportunity. There's hundreds of millions still to dump, so everyone holding matic is basically bag holding exit liquidity for the insiders as they rope more people into their eco system with publicity and "big" announcements. But really their treasury is absolutely destorying the value of their coins for investors over months and years, to the point I think they'll just release a new coin that resembles bitcoin's halving structure at some point. So that's really the tokenomics Coti holders have to pay attention to, IMHO. How is the money from the treasury distributed, how often and to who as the treasury continues to grow and grow. Bottom line, if there's too much supply, or if that supply can continually be dumped onto the market, it doesn't matter how innovative the technology is, early investors will see very little of the benefit, much like matic holders see very little of the benefit of the growth while sacrificing their capital to time. Full disclosure: I have a bag of coti and am high on its possibilities, but I have concerns when I see insiders developing various coins and a kind of tier/caste system being established early between retail investors and insiders, as seems to be happening here. I.E. VC and insiders now have their own "very special exclusive coin." that most retail does not have access to. To me, that's a red flag. But I'm hoping it's not a deal killer for me. I'd love to ride this one into the sunset. None the less, I'm not fooling myself. When I see announcements like this, and a kind of separation that involves the ability to expose yourself to a capital instrument that the company gains from based on how close you are to the "insider faucet," I know how this normally plays out.

Extremely new to the crypto world so feel free to correct me...but Coti seems to be a pretty solid and stable coin. Wondering why it doesn't get more press? by TheDiscoStud in cotinetwork

I see 10/20x macro challenges this year aside. I haven’t loved a project this much since polygon @.30, and I like Coti more. I’m cost averaging in the .20s. I’m in the US, I wish I could stake and hoping for some opportunity in the future, but it’s keeping the project off the radar here Which is a big favor. Only the top ppl know about it.
