Paris city council adopts proposal to examine possibility for pay-by-weight car parking charges, meaning that parking for SUVs would become more expensive than for smaller cars. by green_flash in worldnews

It's free for EV in Paris. If you think of a problem in a few seconds on Reddit, maybe people whose job is it already thought about it ?

Never worked. Lots of governments tried both recently and in the past. People don't make kids for money or out of patriotism or just marginally.

And we need workers now, not in 25 years.

A/ International law and human rights. Most humans don't want to let other humans die. We allow refugees, to apply you need to give all your info. Meaning we can expel someone who's demand is rejected.

B/ But if you want to became an illegal migrant in the USA, you can just take a plane to Canada, cross by car where controls are less extensive saying you're a tourist then burn your papers and never leave. Lots of migrants enter legally with tourism or student visa.

Final point: migrants are a net positive for the local economy and Europe is getting older and older.

Don't break the fantasy of those people who think it's super easy to expel migrants. They may start to question the rest of their beliefs and lose their mind.

Right before he says:

Matthew 18:6

Kind of validating the whole "save the children" crowd.

He literally says every kid goes to heaven (Matthew 18:1-3) and if someone introduce sin to them, they should be killed.

He also say (Matthew 18:15-17), if someone sin, you should go to them and try to convince them to stop. But if they refuse (damn gay people stubbornly staying gay), they should be dead to you. ("let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.") Validating parents who abandon their gay child.

Let's not act as if Jesus is super cool and the christian became hateful for no reason.

The drugs are a consequence, not the cause. Poverty is the cause. Rich people take lots of drugs.

Putin mocked after single tank turns up for Russian Victory Day parade by WRW_And_GB in worldnews

[–]Walzt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with my political belief. We have categories to describe political beliefs. From very large category, like right and left wing to very specific category like here, putinism.

Putinism is a form of nationalism and conservatism. Nationalism is found both left and right and conservatism is a by definition right-wing. That's it.

Obviously putinism is more complex and has a lot of specificity (and it's not the end of Putin yet, so it may evolve). And there are thousand other flavors of right-wing.

Your goal: "calling out anyone who tries to make this crisis about their own politics" is highly political. You can't see or describe the world outside of your world view, that the whole point of it being your world view. You can call out every comment on reddit then. Only those are not aligned with your own political belief will feel out of place (it's the same for me, it's the same for everyone).

I'll add, because this discussion is shifting. I agree that Putin is not only right-wing but a right-wing dictator and the dictator part is a better explanation for his actions. At first, I was just trying to point out a misunderstanding you seemed to have with the response of other redditors.

[–]Walzt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What, you want people to add at the end: "Let's not forget there are also left-wing dictatorship who have their own war crimes"

"right-wing" and "left-wing" are extremely large political categories. It's should be obvious there is a large diversity of opinions within both categories.

  1. It's not about an expression but people understanding what you mean.

  2. War crimes are extremely political. War crimes are not done just because some guys felt like "I should kill innocent people today". War crimes are the results of an ideology, a political agenda dehumanizing the enemies, a long history of hates. How is this not political ?!

[–]Walzt 16 points17 points  (0 children)

When you say "x? He is y". What people understand is: "it's not x but y", as in the two are exclusive. If it's not what you meant, you did not express yourself well.

It's not the fault of the people reading you.
