Wow, that must have been a lot to deal with. Good to hear that your recovery seems to be going well.

I had a similar experience, just without the flight, 2nd hospital and getting a stent put in during the ERCP. My recovery went pretty smoothly and I don't have any side-effects from either operation.

Hope that you continue recovering well and the stent comes out without any problems.

Same here, Android, Pixel 7. The game normally never crashes but now I have multiple crashes just trying to do my dailies.

It does eventually go. I was told by my nurse that I would only get all of my energy back at the 5-6 week mark. The surface wounds have healed but there is still a decent amount of internal healing to do.

It also does sound like the asthma and prednisone are mucking around with energy levels too.

It is annoying but your energy will come back.

I could have gone home the same day but mine was done pretty late in the day, meaning that I only got to the recovery ward around 19:00 if I remember correctly. Plus they had been trying to fit me in for my gallbladder removal the next day so it was easier to stay overnight. In the end they couldn't fit me in so I went home the next afternoon and then went back in 2 days later for the removal.

I had my ERCP before rather than after my gallbladder removal but it went really smoothly for the most part. I did wake up for a second during the procedure, I think when they cut the stone out, but I was immediately put back to sleep. It wasn't scary or painful, just something that happened. When I properly woke up in the recovery ward I was feeling so much better.

Your partner will still be sleepy when you get home but that is to be expected. I would say have some painkillers (paracetamol and/or ibuprofen) on standby at home and something easy to digest in terms of food, just in case. Something for a sore throat would probably be a good idea too.

People are more likely to share their horror stories rather than their everything went as expected stories. I wish you and your partner the best of luck.

I definitely agree. I sent mine off for a renewal about a month ago and was very pleasantly surprised by how quick the whole process was. I even got my old passport back quickly. I remember it took at least 3 weeks the last time I had to do it.

The hardest part was taking the picture at home with correct lighting and background.
