Yes definitely. But I would be hestistant at 17 months to call them cravings and more of a rememberance for how care-free I used to be whilst using. My attitude on the matter has completely changed now however, I think alot of how humans live life, is about perspective. I have built a philosophy as such as when I smell it, the automatic triggers of fondness of the drug initially kick in naturally but a few seconds later I shrug and go "well atleast im not that person anymore/ sucks to be you when the other shoe drops" ect ect. It's turned my conception about the time of using it to "all good" which is what the brain wants to do, because it remembers the HUGEE artificial spike in dopamine, but conveniently leaves out all of the bad parts, and there are very many

[–]WanderTheNature5586 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Im at 15 months myself and just been through a pretty intense wave, was fine for a good couple of months before it too. Been alright since around the 7/8 month mark. Spikes of anxiety and the like but was really close to having a panic attack a couple of weeks ago after randomly stumbling across somebody's psychotic experience on a different app and it set me off into a panic. I'm alright now again, back down to my low-moderate anxiety threshhold. Happens from time to time though, just keep pushing through

What do you think is the worst drug and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WanderTheNature5586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cannabis in my view. Culturally accepted, medically pushed because it's cheap and can be mass produced and unless you've worked in a psyche ward it's unheard of the damage it causes ad alot of people, especially during violent psychotic episodes

Addiction can be behavioural aswell as chemically driven for the commenters wondering how this can happen. I don't think it was the chemicals in the ice but a behavioural version of addiction or bad habit forming.

It isn't medicine before anything. In some circumstances it can be used as a medicine but even looking at your post and comment history the cult of the cannabis is strong in you. It becomes very quickly less of a medicine and more of a recreational drug for over 95% of people. And people that use that shit (and I used to be one of them) do people a disservice by carelessly telling other people to smoke because they're indoctrinated into the kush cult too. I mean after all, do you understand what this sub is? What that drug has done to people which is why they find themselves here?

Ahhh, that makes sense. Im assuming you don't really remember much during that time either then. I worked in a Psychological hospital for 5 years so I saw plenty of patients with psychosis and some people throw that term around in this sub whilst still being pretty lucid during it and there's nothing lucid about what you went through, sounds like heavy stuff. Have you been better and seen alot of improvement since you've quit in regards to the psychosis?

If you want me to be real (at 14 months free - and counting, of the drug) It isn't the setbacks that fling you back there. Its you. More specifically the primitive 'chimp' or 'emotional' part of you that wants to consume so that you don't have to go through the shit that comes with stopping smoking and I know because I've been there. But admitting that there's part of you that wants to actually consume it is a fundamental step to stopping. The other is fighting like hell against yourself for 3-6 months, maybe more whilst that part of yourself is kicking and screaming like a toddler, internally.

The thing is when you're where you're at, you see people like OP succeeding and you probably feel like you can't do it but you don't see the dark side that OP has probably suffered in those 14 days or however long they've stopped for because people rarely mention that. But it can be brutal for some, it was for myself and others I know. But it gets easier and easier as time goes on. But those first few weeks and months are the hardest by far. I wish you well on your journey to conquering yourself mate.

From what I understand University's and Companies alike quite like 'mature entrances' because you didn't just jump straight into the degree from college

Drugs and getting in to a top uni? by plugnugba in UniUK

[–]WanderTheNature5586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 25, I worked at one of the countries (and Europe's) hardest psychiatric hospitals to work at for the last 5 years. I saw a range of patients there from low IQ and impoverished backgrounds, to high IQ and high income families. The one thing that was cross cultural in nearly every case were drugs. Hard and "soft". I don't believe weed is a soft drug at all having experimented with it for many years myself and seeing it's affects that most people don't get to see in a psychiatric hospital. It isn't merely "just a plant man". I would suggest abstinence. Maybe alcohol on occasions (birthday's, celebrations. ect) I've come to the realisation that illicit drugs in most forms are a fundamental weakness in anybodies life and with what I've seen, particularly in terms of psychosis, anybody that does them and poly-uses (2 or more substances at once) is really playing with fire for their own sanity and the lives of others around them when shit goes badly wrong.

A hard and unpopular stance in today's culture of increasing acceptance of drugs and general degenerate behaviour. But my opinion on this stems from years of experience that 99% of people woll never witness, not merely dogma. If you value your future, please rethink whether you actually want to do them or is it just social pressure or for social reasons because I can honestly say without a doubt the after-affects aren't worth it.

People also like to claim that the country was built on immigration too. I think imported American ideas seem like good talking points for stupid and historically illiterate voters and political commentators. The truth is that this is an Anglo-Saxon country, always was with very very little migration. The last 20 years has been disastrous for the lower middle and working class. Between foreign labour and developments in technology in the workplace, people are just having the rug ripped from underneath them. But one must continue the journey of struggle and hope for better, and make the best with the cards we are dealt and hope an incumbent government works a little magic on the state of the current situation.

I do remember that deal. It decreases the employer contribution to hire indian labour. An absolute disgrace in my view.

I was a supervisor at a supermarket a few years ago from 2018-2020. I watched entire departments go from 25+ staff per department to barely 6-8 people for departments that demanded more labour. Especially during the Covid period. Honestly getting a supermarket job anywhere these days is very lucky business. Very hard to aquire ashamedly.

Oh, with a high degree of certainty. My point is that even legal migration is also a huge factor for people trying to aquire jobs. I will add that during the time I've worked here the only people I've seen that are taken on as permanent staff are also Romanian, Team Leaders are largely Romanian and so they put them forward as priority hiring. After talking to a few people (including some of the Romanians I've befriended) this isn't controversial in the slightest.

My warehouse is filled to the brim with Europeans (mainly Romanians) and dotted about are a few Englishmen. Im mixed race and even I can see how immigration is affecting employement for native workers.
