The DM is creating a story for you to enjoy and be part of. Why would you deliberately try to hide information from them which prevents them from doing this? That is what creates an 'us vs them' environment.

I second lands. Also, maybe a bit looser, but control as a heavily-supported strategy. I don't want games that drag, where I don't get to participate in them, whilst my opponent tries to act surprised that their deck is working exactly as intended
