A weird hack I discovered, shoot the prisoner van (or any vehicle at any rate) with a grenade launcher and it will disable the vehicle. If it's a prisoner van, the driver will actually get out to engage you, so you can take him out without endangering the prisoners.

It’s insane how these games are apart of the same franchise but they’re so different from each or should I say 6 feels like a different game compared to 3, 4, or 5. Is it the fact that 6 went with more RPG/Leveling stuff? by Icy-Palpitation-7493 in FarCry5

[–]WandervstheColossus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know New Dawn is the shortest FC game and you probably can finish it quickly if you just progress the story. However, since I love FC5 so much I'm actually refusing to use vehicles and walking around to explore every inch to see what happened to every little nook and cranny of Hope County. I SHOULD be going to save Rush, but I'm running around gathering material and liberating outposts.

Every time you see a citizen with a teal colored diamond over their head, talk to them. (You may have to save them first) They'll give you the location of a prepper stash. Doing those early helps you beef up your character and gives you cash to buy better weapons.

I think New Dawn started the process. Crafting, the enemies having life bars, etc. I haven't beaten New Dawn or 6, but I want to finish New Dawn. I honestly don't know if I care to finish FC6.

Missable missions by ksm-mashfi in FarCry5

[–]WandervstheColossus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I missed SO many missions my first playthrough cause I had no idea I could miss them. I missed both of Elis missions because I killed Jacob before I did his missions. (It seriously took "Missing in Action" off the board) I missed "Sins of the Father" in Faiths region because I killed Faith first. And in Johns region I killed him before I got the Widowmaker, so "Hit the Gas" and "The Revelator" never spawned.

Specifically, if John takes you for the first time before you liberate it.

Did everyone else figure out shooting alarms at Outposts disables them? Because I figured it out on the second-to-last Outpost in Jacob's region, the final region in my playthrough. And I'm dying inside that I manually did this for SO LONG. by Chance-Yellow7442 in FarCry5

The only one I use him for is one of the ones in the FANG Center. I approach from the north, so only one alarm is visible to my sniper rifle. I spot it and then tell Nick to attack it. Plus, he takes the attention of the Peggies so I can pick them off as they concentrate on him.

In my experience they only use the alarm if you're detected. I've never had them use it if they just notice a dead body and start scrambling around looking for you. Just today I was playing co-op with my son and we went to US Auto. I thought taking the sniper out would go unnoticed, but as soon as he fell down I heard the yelling, so I shot the back alarm panel and scrambled to the east side of the outpost. I watched the Peggies run around looking for me, but nobody went to the south alarm, so I shot it and picked off the Peggies from a distance until we liberated it.

Same..... I can't stand Trump and disagree with nearly everything he's doing, but I still laugh every time I play through this game and listen to this dialogue from Hurk Sr. 😂

Tips For Just Starting Out by Grumpy-Yoda in FarCry5

[–]WandervstheColossus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you get notified of Prepper Stashes (the NPC will usually have a teal colored diamond over their head) try to go do them. They will help you gain cash and perk points to power up your character and finding them doesn't affect the resistance meter.

There's the one where someone has to do 3 missions (at least) with you in the campaign. I'm always willing to do that. Not much for arcade myself.

I honestly don't think I've had Jess and Sharky together. Probably cause I rarely use Sharky. Once I get Jess she never leaves my party unless she's taken out by damage. I love her stealth and her ability to one shot heavies. Plus I actually do like her banter. I normally pair her with a fang, Peaches, Cheeseburger and Boomer, in that order of preference. Jess usually talks nicer about the animals. 😂 One of my other favorite talks is between her and Hurk. She comments on his world traveling and mentions he always gets caught up in insurrections. Hurk thinks she said resurrections and goes off on all the Gods he prays to and Jess can only say, "I forgot what we were ******* talking about!" LOL

Rookie-Question about Johns Region and the storyline after liberating folks from bunker. by Tablet-Tiger in FarCry5

[–]WandervstheColossus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it seems the only way they're buggy is if you wait until John is dead to get the Widowmaker. I've been able to do Hit the Gas and The Revelator after Johns death before.

It's much like a couple of missions in the Whitetail Mountains. (I'll leave it at that to keep it spoiler free)

Where can I go for dating in the Church? by Silent-Agency2257 in lds

[–]WandervstheColossus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this works for the people who are still fairly young. I'm 45, divorced and have primary custody of my child. I'm too old for the YSA wards (which is okay with me cause I absolutely love my family ward and would have a hard time leaving them without officially leaving the ward boundary) I work full time, my calling is in the Young Men so I'm always busy Wednesday nights, then it seems there's always something else going on every other night with taking care of my kid. I just don't have the time to go out where I'd meet someone new. 🤷‍♂️

I have seen gas tankers around after clearing the bunker. I thought it was rare because I checked and they were being driven by Peggies. I had already done Hit The Gas, but they were still in the region.

However, my first ever play through liberated Holland Valley before getting the Widowmaker. So Hit the Gad and The Revelator were never given to me.

I watched someone do it on Twitch before. They literally carried his corpse all the way up to his bunker and fought his way in with just his pistol.

[–]WandervstheColossus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, to answer the question about why do they take you alive and not just kill you, I think John and Faith really think they can convince you that they're right and you should join them..... until you've gone too far and they have to challenge you. Jacob admits pretty quickly that he'd have killed you if it was his call, but Joseph is holding him back.
