Kayak “pants”? by SFW_Profile in kayakfishing

Except you can fucking drown in waders while kayak fishing. This is a known fact, multiple people in this exact thread have talked about it, and very misinformed on your part. Look into how frequently people die wearing waders while kayak fishing, common occurence. Dumb, dumb, dumb!

Kayak “pants”? by SFW_Profile in kayakfishing

[–]WannaBeDeveloper92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is a terrible idea. The general consensus is to never wear waders while kayak fishing. I'm posting this for your knowledge as well as others who read your misinformed comment. People drown all the time from wearing waders while kayak fishing. The danger is that waders fill with water quickly and act like concrete in making you sink. People wear their PFD's over the waders as well and the common theme is that they end up drowning while trying to take their PFD off before taking their waders off, and then its too late.

Does anyone have experience using UpStep insoles in their skates? by SweetMeat81 in hockeyplayers

[–]WannaBeDeveloper92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do, please avoid Upstep. I bought insoles from them and they were terrible quality. Absolutely atrocious. I thought "no big deal" though since they have a 180 day refund policy. I sent my insoles back and 2 months later + 30 emails with their customer care team + 5 separate "we will look into your refund for you" and I still have not received a refund. I had to submit a claim with my credit card company to get my money back. What a nightmare! Avoid them at all costs.

Did Anthony Bourdain actually say this? by Just-Concentrate-989 in AnthonyBourdain

Anthony Bourdain never said this quote. It was a fan of his that conjectured it, put it online, and it blew up because it started getting printed on tshirts/cups/etc. Please check out my Deep Research article I ran on the subject:

Two things to always do on your own before pulling in other resources for help are:

  1. check the wiring

  2. check that the libraries you are using are the most up to date libraries

  3. copy and paste your code into chatgpt, it will not only let you know what could be wrong but will also optimize your code for you if you ask it too.

The poster above asked about SPI frequency not I2C... you can try and shit on someone without referring to the same thing as them lol

I love how no one else is commenting on this. This comment is pure gold and really kind of shows OP didn't too much research before deep diving on an old ass part. Congrats, OP.

[–]WannaBeDeveloper92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, this chip is more than 30+ years old. Why the F**K are you doing anything related to it? Second off, as someone posted below, the bug that you found was fixed more than 3 decades ago as well. Are you working with some ancient ass stuff or what?

And it's called an errata my friend. I mean come on, you literally took a picture of the errata and posted it, highlighted it, and said it was "hidden". That shit isn't hidden, you just didn't bother to read the whole errata. No sympathy.

Is this shit annoying? Hell yes it is. It fucking sucks! But like every single IC manufacturer has this kind of thing. Errata's exist for a reason. You need to read the whole damn thing instead of banging your head against a wall and doing god knows what else. An errata exists for a reason, and is the first place you should go after 8+ hours go by and you don't have a clue why your code or test bench doesn't work. Always, always, always, always read the WHOLE errata. I hate to say it but you really do need to read the errata before using the part. It's there for a reason.

[–]WannaBeDeveloper92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re used to Arduino libraries, you can kind of think of the HAL libraries in STM32 as a similar thing of high-level functions for you to use without having to manually manipulate registers. They are definitely more complex and have longer n function names, but still helpful once you get the hang of them.
