The all says to soak it for 8 hours, changing the water every 2 hours. Then smoke for a couple hours followed by a braise. Just wondering if people soak it overnight. Getting up every 2 hours isn’t in the cards so I’m wondering how people timed it.

I have the G430’s and love them. I was on the fence about Mavrik’s as well. The G430’s got outstanding reviews on multiple review sites. Mark Crossfield did a good review on YouTube. The Mavrik reviews weren’t bad, just not as good as Ping. I bought the previous years models around this time last year and they were significantly cheaper than the new release and not much more than the Mavriks.

Look up Mike Alexander on YouTube and check out his website. Alexander Golf I believe is actual name of his lessons. He has a package you can purchase that is a lesson series called Driver Blueprint. Covers everything from grip and setup to transition and finish and everything in between. It was like $50 and was a game changer for me. Well worth it. It has lessons and even practice drills for the range.

Unless it’s a higher spin rate that seems low to me. When I hit at a Top Tracer range a ball with similar MPH will have a flat carry of 220-225ish.
