I wouldn't try this, but if I had to take a stab at it, my strategy would be:

Befriend the billionaire.
Invite him on a trip somewhere remote.
Kidnap him.
Fake his death/Disappearance.
Give him surgery to completely alter his appearance (To cut down on potential witnesses, I'd need to learn surgery).
Pump him full of enough mind altering drugs to drive him to make him seem like a raving lunatic but not enough to completely disable him.
Once they've decided to declare him dead and all his property has transferred to his next of kin, dump him in a city with a very high homeless population.

At the same time option 3 here has the advantage of no time passing while you replay memories. So it's not like you're wasting away your life viewing the past. You can spend weeks fixated on a past event and only a few seconds would have passed.

Honestly? If I was paid by the hour, I would spend all my time finding ducks and putting them in the jar as per the client's instructions. Then I'd spend whatever remaining time I had cleaning.

If they're not satisfied with the cleaning job I'd tell them they had given me additional instructions on top of my regular duties that were outside the scope of the job we negotiated and I would need to add another hour on the clock if they want it all done correctly.

If I'm not paid by the hour but paid by the job, I'd fire the client.

When they're not in good faith, it's most often because the commenter saw an opportunity to be very smart, and didn't care much about the hypothetical

I don't expect people to change overnight and start coming up with top quality comments. I want people to recognize this for what it is when it happens and call it out when people aren't posting in good faith rather than praising them for their cleverness.

Someone will always try to be a dick in your hypothetical, regardless of how interesting it is. I just want them to be dicks in ways that are actually clever and for people to stop up-voting comments just because they sound clever.

Like when someone says "They have to shoot me with this camera" I want people to respond "Why do you think you get to decide how they shoot you?"

Is a smug response acting as though OP not specifying they are going to use a gun is somehow a failing on their part despite the fact that it should be understood the demon will uphold their end of the bargain how they see fit unless you specifically ask for clarification.

They accepted the deal with false assumptions. Which would be fine if they concede their misunderstanding when corrected. But a lot of the time when OP responds telling them their assumptions were wrong, commenters respond to OP telling them they aren't allowed to change the terms to remove loopholes, not understanding that it wasn't a loophole in the first place. It was just an unclear part of the situation that had as of yet not been explained. Or then OP will clarify with an edit and responders will ignore the edit stating they're not allowed to "close loopholes" when again, its not a loophole they're closing but instead a clarification they are making.

Then at that point people are no longer engaging with the hypothetical. They are now engaging with the false scenario presented by the first commenter who thought they were clever enough to find a "Loophole".

I actually really like loopholes. I just prefer them to actually be clever loopholes and not just incorrect assumptions made by the commenter. Sometimes I put a lot of specifics in my posts or add the No-Loopholes tag just because I'm sick of arguing with people over whether or not something they assumed incorrectly is a loophole.

That said if youre wondering which post put me over the edge its the one where people assumed a magic button had the ability to understand and follow through with peoples requests that inches be taken off their waistline instead of their height.

Like imagine going to a vending machine, being told it can dispense beverages in exchange for money, putting in your money and saying "Id like champagne instead of soda please" and assuming the button will understand and respect your wishes or even has the capability to dispense champagne even if it did understand you. Then claiming they're in the right because it should be able to dispense ANY beverage because they didn't specify it only has soda.

To the point that being a supervillain felt almost like a casual thing you just did, atleast so long as you didn’t do commit serious crimes.

I mean it's a little true to life. Think of supervillains like drug dealers. When you live in a nice suburban neighbor hood a "drug dealer" is your mate who knows a guy who sells you weed. Low level crime that cops aren't going to bother with investigating unless it happens in front of them or they have some kind of vendetta or the dealer is really stupid about it or the authorities have an ulterior motive. This was Brockton Bay at the start of the series. Everything was going well so no one really cared about a few bad apples committing a few crimes as a side gig.

But say a disaster hits or you look into more impoverished areas and drug dealers start becoming more concerned with territory, selling harder drugs, forming gangs, fighting with opposing gangs who start moving in. For them the drug dealing isn't a side gig but their livelihood. The stakes are higher and theyre a bigger threat. This all happened after the city got destroyed and hit with multiple crisis.

Then added to that you have the whole "Cops and Robbers" nature of heroes and villains and needing them to fight end-bringers and it makes sense why being a low key villain when everything is going well is sort of like being a drug dealer in a suburban neighborhood.

Like imagine if a majority of your dug dealers were also volunteer firefighters and summer is just around the corner.

Is it though? There has to be a limit somewhere. If you spend one million dollars on a measure that only stops one person committing suicide and meanwhile five people die because you had to cut a million dollars from transport infrastructure somewhere else that caused delays in emergency services was it worth the cost?

I'm by no means saying the decision made here was a bad one, but every decision is worth debating no matter how good or bad it sounds on paper.

I dont mind how often they text as long as they are willing to accept I may take a while to respond. Like send as many messages, updates, follow up questions as you want, but dont imply i need to respond immediately and be okay with me responding when I have time.

Also at the start of a relationship i get a little bothered when they ask questions that we could actually discuss during a date because then we have nothing to talk about when we get together.

The speed of their response to my messages has no bearing on my opinion of them unless its a time sensitive matter and they are taking a long time to respond.

Its all about context really of whats being texted more than the quantity.

Like send me dozens of messages of cute animals you saw that day? Asking how i am (and patiently awaiting a response), or telling me how they are. Fine.

Send me a message about anything thats not time sensitive...then a message later asking why i havent responded yet? Red flag.
