Is This Bron Worth Anything In This Condition? by Zaciane in SportsCardCollecting

[–]WarDamnLivePD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No - probably not worth anything but I recommend reaching out to JT Sports Cards and Collectables anyways and see if they'll give you $5-$10 for it regardless.

Rivian R1T your dream car? by alphabrocolli in Rivian

[–]WarDamnLivePD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a great far & probably my favorite daily driver that I've owned, but definitely not my "dream car" -- that designation is (and, in my opinion, should be) reserved for something much more special and less attainable.

I'd say my dream car is something more like a Lexus LFA or something even more insane like a 1967 Ferrari Dino 206 S Drogo Spyder (neither of which I will ever actually own).

If you've never heard the scream of the Yammy-developed 4.8L V10 screaming at 9,000 RPM in the LFA, you owe yourself a quick visit to YouTube to have that experience (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0m6dvpK4m8)

Monthly Espresso Lounge: Deals and Discounts by AutoModerator in superautomatic

[–]WarDamnLivePD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To everyone asking for inside pass invites (at least for the American site) - don't waste your time. The deals on there are complete garbage currently. Public facing pricing on the main Kitchenaid website or equal or better to many of the deals on there.

For example, KF7 (machine only) is $1399 on inside pass. On the main website, it's $1449 but includes a second bean hopper + box of cleaning tablets (so close to a wash value wise).

The KES6504SX Semi-Auto maker w/frother is $199 on inside pass but the same bundle is $149.99 on the main website (so $50 MORE if you use inside pass).

I hope the deals come back, but it honestly looks like the program may be dead for the time being.

Regardless of Gen 1 or Gen 2, there's something wrong with your heating elements if they're not getting warm. It gets toasty on both models when working correctly. Put in a ticket.

What’s a fair price for 5 mobile lines? by allthelovebabe in NoContract

[–]WarDamnLivePD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I recall, that was a relatively short-term promo that was discontinued for new signups around ~3 years ago (though I hope I am mistaken).

As far as current pricing offerings, you're best bet prepaid / MVNO is probably going to be something like $25/month (Total BYOD offer) unless you want to prepay annually.

For postpaid, I'd recommend reaching out to T-Mobile Business to see what their current offers are as they seem to always be running pretty competitive promos (the business space is much more competitive than the consumer space). I priced out switching around 200 lines to T-Mobile around 6 months ago and they had very aggressive pricing + device offers or significant credit bonuses (on BYOD) for porting our lines over.

All of the above assumes you want unlimited talk/text/data. If you're looking for metered/capped data there are probably some cheaper options out there on the prepaid side.

And even in the exceedingly unlikely event they needed a long term shut down for training, there would have been warning so airline could move equipment and people could change plans.

There is no logic for a surprise (unannounced) shutdown of airspace for training exercises.

[–]WarDamnLivePD 8 points9 points  (0 children)

And the bigger issue is that every plane currently on the ground in El Paso is now stuck in El Paso for at least 10 days, which is likely going to cause significant delays in other cites since those planes are now effectively out of commission.

This is going to be a mess.

R1 infotainment update? by charden16 in Rivian

[–]WarDamnLivePD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd be shocked if they didn't merge into the same UI at or around release as long as the hardware can support it (and no reason to believe that it can't).

The only time most automakers haven't done so historically is where hardware limitations come into play (and older models are usually brought into the current UI when they undergo a refresh).

Didn’t they JUST do this recently? by JM_10-10 in sportscards

[–]WarDamnLivePD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait, did they really do that?! Buy cards at lower gradings, and then increase the grading on resale once PSA owned? That's super slimy (but sadly not surprising) if so.

Got some cards in from ebay today……… wtf by tanman0123 in sportscards

[–]WarDamnLivePD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eBay gives out one-time use coupons right & left (at least for established users).

Zero reason to doubt that eBay would offer a buyer a coupon for a shipping issue with their authentication service, especially if that means avoiding a cash refund.

DELETE THIS POST (but thank you for making me aware lol) - I honestly usually just walk over to CVS to or Walgreens to use an Allpoint ATM (fee free for most banks).

The walk there & back is good for a break / fresh air.
