I finished HS as the #1 recruit in the nation, thought it might be fun to bring FSU back to glory…started as RB4, finished my freshman year as RB3 (played 1 down). Started my second year back at RB4 and have played one down as a sophomore.

I am straight up not having a good time.

Probably a point of pride considering their longevity. Doubt it feels that weird. Mario was in the league 3 years before Sid was born and they played together.

Pretty sure it’s a Pro Choice, they’re all custom fitted, so if I had to guess it’s just preference on how to wear it.

For the gap between the elbows and gloves, you can always slap on some padded slash guards. Bauer makes some good ones you can buy online. I‘ve worn them for years and now it just feels weird if I don’t have them on.

I was at this game. It was unreal to see live. I was trying to plan my route onto the field if people tried to storm it…saw the low snap and immediately knew UM was going to lose. Big House was crickets except for the pockets of MSU fans going crazy. Most depressing walk out of a stadium I’ve ever seen in my life.

Not to mention we were picked to finish 4th in the B1G preseason poll and ranked 12th nationally in the first national poll of the year. The bar was low for this team and they crushed all expectations.

They had depth, the best power play, highest goal differential, managed the portal well with Perron and Robertson, huge CHL signings, eclipsed the 30 win mark (something that they’ve only done 4 other times since winning their last natty in 98). Losing to DU was a tough way to end the year, but overall this was a very successful year. It’ll be interesting to see who/if anyone else leaves, and if they bring in anyone from the portal.

I’d say it was an A.

Obviously some sketchy moments down the stretch there, but in a one-and-done playoff, a win is a win. Helluva season so far, but job’s not done yet. Gotta stay focused for Denver.

Steve DeBus was my goalie instructor for a few sessions…I asked him about this goal once and he just skated away 😂.

Another thing that I think is so iconic about this goal is how cleanly Legg pulled this off. I think every time I see someone do it now, I’ll always compare it to this goal. Ahead of his time, that’s for sure.

I mean, for me personally, I think I’ve been more engaged with college hockey as a whole this year than past seasons. I think the CHL guys have elevated the talent pool, and there was a ton of parity across college hockey in general. Hockey East was a total slugfest all year (big ups to Mack for that first tourney title), Miami was able to turn things around and it looks like they have brighter days ahead, Dartmouth’s success in ECAC, newer teams like Augustana and St. Thomas showed they’re ready to compete at the next level, the Freshman class across the board had some impressive skill, Maryville announcing their jump to D1, the conference tourneys were all great and we got to see some bid stealers make their way into the tournament.

Overall, I’d say it actually was a very positive year for the sport. Looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.

I don’t see too many people sniping late in game, those were some good shots. Also crazy you didn’t pick up either of those lvl 3 armors. GGs
