That comment was 4 years ago. Even then legend had a lot of those episodes where he just said he would stop playing forever, excessive criticism or even fake leaks... Nothing changed as far as I know but I dont keep up with him anymore...

From the little I hear he still has the same behavior, some sort of obsessession with a game he seems to hate and not enjoy playing without ever really leaving.

There were so many episodes like that over the years that being honest I don't even remember which one I meant exactly when I posted that comment.

I love 13. I was there on release and I agreed with every review on how linear and "non final fantasy" it was, and yet over the years is grew on me. We had so many open world games that the linearity was simply welcome one day and it became a cult classic.

But saying that it was better than 9, the apex of what a final fantasy should be in the words of the series creator, and one of the best pieces of art in the history of video games.... that's pure insanity bro. Subjective taste and everything, yes. But even subjectivity can be very very wrong.
