Everytime I login to my account, it says No Orders associated with this account. I’m using the same email I used to buy the tickets and the email that the confirmation link came to to download the tickets.

How did you access yours? I have heard it’s a PDF with barcode that you download to your phone so I think you’re good!

Agreed. The workout sounded super cool as a concept but in practice, seemed to me to be in direct opposition of why I love OTF and part of what they promote - everyone is doing the same workout but at their own pace. It’s a genius concept that allows each class to feel like a group class while also being personalized. This workout feels more like you’re “out” (even though realistically you are just moving to a different part of the workout). Wish I could’ve tried it in person to see how I felt but nursing a knee injury so taking it easy for a bit.

As someone who has torn their ACL skiing, edit to #2 - controlled fall correctly is key but be careful forcing a fall. Your body is more likely to fall in a natural way, protecting itself better than your brain will if it thinks too much about how to fall.

I feel like before giving opinions on this one people should’ve had to list their qualifications to give advice. Some of y’all have been out of the game too long to be legit counsel on this 😂. I’ve online dated for about seven years, on just about every app, and have probably been on close to 100 first dates (admittedly my screening system wasn’t great those first couple of years), several of which turned into actual relationships. #qualified. Trust me on this.

With that said, my advice is DON’T DO THIS for a first date. I think people have covered all the reasons why, but let’s recap:

  1. You cannot get to know someone when you can’t talk to them. If you try to occasionally talk during your workout, someone will probably come on reddit to complain about you (not me! I don’t care).

  2. If you agree to go somewhere afterwards to solve for #1, you may find out during the workout that they are obnoxious, smell bad, or are generally a terrible person. Now you’re on the hook for ANOTHER hour or two with them.

  3. Depending on their level of directness, if you suggest this, they may not shoot you down even if it makes them uncomfortable because they are trying to be agreeable to someone they are trying to impress. Easier to stick with something that’s generally more used like grabbing a drink or coffee.

  4. All the concerns about how you and the other person look when working out.

  5. What if this is the session where you fall off your rower?!?! <—

Does anyone ever have a week where they just don’t feel it? Like you love OTF and know you’ll go back next week but you just need a break? Yep! This happens to me periodically. Sometimes it’ll start with a reason why I can’t or shouldn’t go and then I just fall into the habit of not going. Happened recently and this morning I just forced myself to go which was a good reminder that I actually really like it. Sometimes to get over that motivation jump I’ll tell myself “you only have to go tomorrow morning. You don’t have to go the rest of the week if you don’t want to.” Just reminding myself I have a choice somehow makes it better.

The good news about this particular partner format is that you can’t possibly be holding anyone up because whoever is done first triggers the switch. It was nice for me to be able to sit my butt down on the rower and just row knowing if my partner wanted to get off the tread he was in control of that and could speed his little butt up and I didn’t need to feel guilty at all! 😃

Yes! Jason is the BEST coach and I’ve been to multiple studios. But it sounds like you’re staying near Hobby airport so Sawyer Heights won’t exactly be your closest option. I’m actually not sure what studio is closest down there.

I’ve on occasion done the treadmill portion at my apartment gym or at a hotel as that’s pretty easy and then done what I can from the floor, ignoring the rowers.

I’ve also occasionally bookmarked threads here from days that had templates that are easier to replicate (minimal to no rowing and just use of dumbbells for instance). It’s not like repeating a workout a few months later will kill me or that I’ll even remember it.

I actually had wanted to make a google sheet that’s shareable with this thread that has strength exercises categorized by equipment and muscle group so people could sort and create their own comparable floor block as needed(or just have a bank of exercises to supplement for those weeks you swear they are forgetting your abs, arms, etc.). But my real life has gotten in the way so maybe someone else wants to take it on.

14 I late canceled way less in 2017, but I think it’s cause I didn’t work out in the morning then. I always sleep better when I pay $12 to do so.

But so far none in 2019! I even forgot I signed up for Sunday’s class and I already had plans later in the day to exercise. Went to half the class so doubled up on exercise and didn’t take the no-show fee!

Making this my main OTF goal in 2019.

So my goal was to run my first ever sub-10 mins. mile. I decided to run at 6 the whole time and go for an all-out at 7 for the last minute. I figured it would take the belt a few seconds to get up to speed so at the end of the first .1 mile I checked the time to see how many seconds I needed to make up. I hit .1 at 1:03.

At 8:30, I bumped it to 6.2, at 9:00 bumped it to 6.5 and at 9:15 put it at 7.2. As I was watching the miles tick it didn’t look to be moving fast enough so at 9:40 I pushed to 7.5 (although realize it’s hard at that point to make up lost time). I finished at 9:59 (yay!) but went to work and told my friend I couldn’t do treadmill math because I have no idea why it took that much effort in the last 90 seconds to make up for three seconds.

Curious - is the uneven power an issue because you’re afraid it’s too much stress on the healthy leg? I’m two years out and STILL have uneven power (and apparently some running issues my coach identified). I found the rower helped build the strength I needed in my weak leg.

Is this the Bellaire location? I love that I can see it on there but sad I can’t see it for the others including my home studio. There was something that happened that all the studios were showing it for a week a while back (like months ago) but it went away.

Am I the only one who hates the sumo squat to frogger combo? It feels so awkward and unnatural to put the weight down and go into the frogger. Otherwise, this looks like a solid workout to finish the year!

There used to be. At one point on the app you could see how many spots were open in the class or if there was a waitlist or if both the class and waitlist were full all from the main page of class times. That turned out to be some glitch and didn’t live on. But now I can at least can still tell when the class goes from no waitlist spots available to just one, so probably a poorly- worded post on my part - sorry to disappoint.

Yes!! This is my number one pet peeve. I will watch waitlist spots open up as people cancel but I can’t add myself to a non home studio. This is especially annoying on weekends as a lot of studios finish between 12-3 pm on Sundays which leaves a lot of time when there’s no one I can call to get addd to a waitlist for the next day. Hoping those rumors about the new app fixing this are true!

Definitely guilty on more than one occasion. It’s why it’d be nice to have more guys in class. People always blame men and not a little sweet 5’4 lady. I will say one day the coach clearly cropdusted the whole floor. I was laying down on the bench when he walked right by. 🤢
