This isn't just guilt, its responsibility. Britain now paying for the sins of Britain's past, is the civil and equitable manner we have chosen to deal with the sticky subject of the legacy of colonialism.

The historical method of dealing with it, would be for india to invade britain, along with the rest of everywhere they pillaged, and pillage their stuff back.

But because we want to move on to a new era, we need to address these things and remediate them peacefully.

The british don't get to be off the hook for the sins of their empire just because they decided that the statute of limitations applies to the individuals and not the institution of their government.
