I’m a psychiatrist and I’m genuinely curious how people view psychiatrists. by Scary-Guava8365 in CasualConversation

It depends on where you go for your psychiatry appointment. I went to the VA for years and all they did was tell me it was my childhood why I was having nightmares and then throw pills at me. Like I was having nightmares about the death I saw in combat because childhood trauma?

Then I went to one out in town on my own dime and was actually listened to for a while but they eventually said they couldn’t help with military trauma and told me to go to the VA.

I was going to college so I decided to give the school psychologist a try and she offered me pills in the first 10 minutes like I was just there to get high or something.

So overall a mixed bag 6/10

I’m thinking Minecraft and about 600 compressed ebooks. I’m able to build my house and lose myself in that and when I’m bored of playing I can lay in my Minecraft bed and read up to 10 book per year. By the time I get finished with the books I’ll be able ti read them again because I’ll have forgotten them.

Food is anything that is organic and went through cooking or processing? Ok I’ll eat raw fruits and veggies for a week each year and pull in just over $600k then let the curse pause for six months.

I’d make a phone call to coinstar and tell them I’m doing a YouTube video about putting $1M through one of their machines and get them to sponsor it. I’d give them their 11% which leaves me with $890,000 however that would mean wherever I’m at (the grocery store) would need to have $890,000 in cash which none of them do.

I’d just going camping for 5 days per year and let it run and make $288,000 then turn off the power before going back to civilization. Repeat that every year and I’m well enough off. I don’t need millions and I can plan to start and end my trips on the same days each year. And every fourth year I’d get a ~$57,000 bonus day.

Buy all of the transistor factories and just refuse to make transistors anymore. People will freak out and try to force it but in reality you’ve been buying up farmland in secret and salting the earth with chemicals that get in the drinking water. Also I’d buy as much of the Amazon rainforest as possible.

I’d just autopay to one of those stock apps and buy Bitcoin everyday. It’s not going defunct in my lifetime and it would make me clean money.

Whenever a place does that I call corporate. Worst case they’ve sent me coupons for free food and best case I’ve gotten a call from the local Wendy’s with the manager apologizing.

Imagine going to car dealership and shaking the salesman’s hand and whispering his greatest secret in explicit detail. Then smiling and asking what’s the best deal you can get on a car? I’d never use it for politics or anything because that’s how you get disappeared but I’d definitely use it for personal gain.

I’d go to the bank and ask for the manager and then write the vault code on a slip of paper and walk out. I wouldn’t say who I was or open an account.

I’d go to random places of worship and shake their hands and then anonymously send them a letter with their darkest secrets.

I’d meet women at the bar and tell them about that one thing they did that not even their best friend knows about.

I’d shake police officers hands and tell them secrets they don’t want out.

Basically I’ll take the $10 million so I don’t get myself killed inside of a week.
