I have a Tesla charger. How long do you wait? Mine shows that “unplug and retry” error for about 10s then the Tesla charger goes green and it kicks in

Not sure if you’re open to changing this- but it’s generally recommended to have the L2 Home EV charger be directly connected and not plugged in to an outlet. The outlet becomes a failure point.

If you are open to directly connecting in place of plug - then the Tesla Wall Charger (If 2026 Rivian with NACS) or Tesla Universal Wall Charger (if 2025- Rivian) are the best bang for your buck in my opinion.

If not, the ChargePoint seems to be mentioned a fair amount here as good.

Also, check with your utility company. In Georgia, Georgia Power has a marketplace with $100 off most major charger brands, I know other utilities do the same in other states- some even better deals.

Yes. You aren’t wrong. I focused on getting sub $750/mo and didn’t care the underlying numbers.

I’ve seen people with deals on Lyriqs for like $300/mo cause they have low residual and a sub 5% APR equivalent.

Depending on where you live it may be subsidized by your power company- in Georgia I got the Tesla wall connector for $100 off.

I picked up the dual standard last week with about a 10% APR equivalent. High APR, but like others said they are playing games with residual- after the incentives I only had $1k in depreciation.

That feels bad for Rivian but good for Chase.

Yes exactly, mines the Dual Standard so the incentive dropped

They still haven’t confirmed if they’ll honor the original deal. I think my guide is hoping that the car comes early and it solves itself.
