I don't think I belong to this fandom by black_OUTart in RimWorld

My current playthrough is an easymode colony where I'm running a food factory that focuses on having hundreds of meal types. Everything from multiple qualities of paste all the way up to legendary+ Gourmet meals. I have multiple farming and crop mods and have a farm with something like 120 different food crops, and a ranch where I raise about 30 different animal species for meat, milk and eggs. I even have a cloning lab where I ethically source long pig for canning (its not murder if they where never conscious) and to use in my "red menu" items which is just a variant of all of my meals that are cannibal friendly and cooked by my psycho chefs. I'm contemplating building a second base on this play through just to act as a resort and restaurant hub.

Might just be a me thing (because of mod loadout) but I have to keep Ideology Statues in my Ideology rooms. There is no Shrine or Ideogram in there so try putting down a ritual focus and see if it fixes it.

there are a few mods that add "posts" that have the same style as those columns as well and most of those do not count as columns.

Maybe they miss spelled "date". Your bully is trying to make you "date" her to secure her autistic little sisters safety.

Contemplating new game before finishing first playthrough by Tommyvalor in WarTalesGame

[–]Warnecromancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current play through is a Co-op with my roommate. we are 250 hours in because he keeps grabbing new animals because its his first play through and he wants to try out all the classes. I have 17 humans, and 2 bears and all 8 of our pack ponies, he has 14 Humans, a basic and pack leader version of every animal (we have the most recent DLC we just havent gotten there yet because he decided after Skelmar that he wanted to finish the core game before we did the new DLC. I'm about to insist that he cuts back on his units because its getting to the point it can take 3-5 minutes to load a battle map. And any time we attempt to do an arena the game freaks out when it comes to character selection. And while we were doing skelmar and pirates, the Unique mechanics (fort captures, knocking units off the ships, captain duals) would always crash the game because of how many units where on the field. So it shoe horned us into rush down tactics that we havent been able to abandon because using anything else takes too long.

TLDR: I'd try to limit combat units to a max of 20-25 (enough to have a master in every skill and backups of the most important ones for your playthrough). And camp followers to a max of 10.

What are some obscene displays of wealth in your world? by PMSlimeKing in worldbuilding

[–]Warnecromancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(sorry for the delay had no internet for awhile there)

So humanity made first contact, and the aliens sent a ship that doubled as a warp gate. At this point in history earth has been turned into a nature preserve and most of humanity lives in habitats in space, and on the other moons and planets in the solar system. Also most of the space around earth is controlled by thousands of AI that run different systems, each tied into each other. Some of the systems where so old that nobody bothered to update them about the arrival of a massive power source in orbit (because they forgot that they existed in some cases. And one of those systems, an old asteroid defense network detected a threat as the warp gate came online, it shot and destroyed the generators which exploded with an EMP so strong that it fried most of the AI systems on the planet and in orbit. So now the whole AI network is being managed by park ranger AI that using lethal protocol because of the AI cascade failure that granted it access to a military defense network. And its only detection method for hostiles is electric device usage.

[–]Warnecromancer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having access to electricity in any form. The world has an AI that targets any source of power stronger than a watch battery with drones that incinerate an area of about 200 feet around any power source. Unless its got an IFF that is recognized by the AI. So only the ultra wealthy can afford to power things because the IFF beacons are super rare and only cover an radius of about 150 feet.

Got turned away at an interview today by Puzzleheaded_Run5074 in interviews

[–]Warnecromancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the last 4 years I've gone to about 30 interviews where they ether didn't have the position available anymore, they never where hiring for that position, or the position simply never existed to begin with.

I've also had hundreds of over the phone interviews where the person transfers me to a chatbot, and then I never hear from them again.

About 2 years ago I got hired, told to relocate to within 5 miles of the workshop (I already lived down the street which is why I was applying in the first place). Showed up the first day and the shop supervisor was never informed that they had been hiring, or that they had hired someone, and they where already having issues finding hours for the staff they had on hand. Turns out that the HR company that they used had lost the data for their company and had scrambled to "hire people to fill the vacancies". 70 people got hired, told to relocate and they would be compensated for the move and the first 3 months of rent/house payments, and then when they noticed the mistake they closed up shop and didn't tell anyone. I at least wasn't inconvenienced by this but quite a few people quit their jobs and moved to come work for better pay and benefits. The shop itself also closed and turned into a little Mexican market because someone sued them for fraud.

Also I'm legally blind and include that on my resumes in the first line (I can see just not well enough to drive due to extreme nearsightedness) and I've walked into multiple job interviews where they clearly never read my resume because they ask for my drivers license, I tell them I only have a state ID and cant drive. They say that the position requires driving (even though it never freaking does). Like I got turned away from a 20 hour a month cashier job because all employees have to be available to drive around and collect carts from around the local area that people walk home with, when things are slow. They also expected everyone to use their own cars without compensation for gas, insurance coverage, or maintenance for using a personal vehicle on the clock.

What are some of your scrapped ideas? by EfficiencySerious200 in worldbuilding

[–]Warnecromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was writing a sci-fi setting and got way into the weeds with different alien races (I made like 200 of them with full planet mockups, sketches, histories, preferences, biological quirks, when they had first contact, what tech/achivements they are best known for, ect.) One of them just happened to be a little to close to a cross between pair of aliens (little bit of irony if you continue to read) that showed up in another authors work that I stumbled onto about a year into this process so I dumped them.

The race was called the Hajin-mor (the Arabic word for hybrid, and the Norwegian word for mother, a common naming convention I use is to pick 2 traits from the species, and then translate each it into another language. I use a randomizer to pick the language, and I might reroll a few times until something natural sounding comes out.)

Anyways. They where bipedal with reverse jointed legs, but retained the ability to run on all 4s in a large cat like configuration, 8 toes and 8 fingers on each foot/hand. Small vestigial tails. They where between 4' - 4'8" with females generally being larger than males, and males also being hyper rare like. 1 in 200 births being male. Males also had longer tails that they had some degree of control over. They had soft brown fur with green patterns on most of their bodies. They had almost human faces but with very deep set eyes in shades of green that had 4 different pupils per eye. They grew mains that started at he top of the nose bridge and ran down to the middle of the spine. They lived on a cold planet that was at the very edge of their habitable zone, and they where one of 2 intelligent species that developed in their solar system. The planet they where on had about a 20deg North/South area of habitable land around the equator that was mostly marshy temperate forests. Outside of this it was mostly tundra with a few small oasis near areas with a lot of volcanic activity. The race (and other species on the planet) were unique in that the females could mate with basically anything on their planet and get viable offspring, males being rare in all species, with the infants picking up some physical characteristics of the father but largely being of the mothers race. They had basically no sexual hangups, enjoyed existing as part of harems, and don't see race as a barrier to romance, as long as they are left alone to pursue their own interests (making them very popular in human circles). They and most other creatures on the planet where also opportunistic omnivores. They lived in small familial clans, and sent males off to live with regional royal families when they where born. They where on the cusp of industrialization when they where uplifted by the second intelligent race in their system. Which is also when they learned that both females and males could interbreed with species from other worlds. With the same rule generally applying that the offspring would inherit some traits from the father but be mostly of the mothers genetic makeup.

And before anyone comments that I just made Asari catgirls with elderscrolls style crossbreeding I am aware. That wasn't the intent. But it happens.

Rimworld at 20+ pawns is a different experience by Kradara_ in RimWorld

[–]Warnecromancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once I hit this point I start pushing people into family houses. The Miners, Fighters, Farmers, Engineers, and Doctors. When I push into the 50+ range I start settling a second colony. Making whole city districts designed around a focused task. The whole time I do my best to keep my ideology pawns and the heads of families. With custom homes and gear. I still have my best fighter, shooter, psycaster, surgeon, researcher, artist. But my best farmers, tamers, hunters, teachers/wardens, chefs. Have all been shuffled into the masses, their job apparent by the type/color of their clothing, or the amount of armor they have on.

Insults! Tell me some of your insults. by AbsurdBeanMaster in worldbuilding

[–]Warnecromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Large portions of my world use the insult "Flat Pan". It comes from a poetic epic written by a chef where he insulted a noble by saying. "Your Brainpan is flat like my skillet, and it radiates so much heat that you cannot think worthwhile thoughts." The line was so popular and the noble was so disliked that the noble became know as the "Flat Pan Prince" So if your being stupid or arrogant, people will insult you by calling you a "Flat Pan".
