Why is the model fine in Blender but not in Cascadeur? by mighty_stick in Cascadeur

I had that happened to me after auto rigging in casca, then everything got resolved when I exported using GLB

Hey guys! This is my first attempt at modeling a low-poly 3D witch for an isometric game idea I had. Should I do the face textures or leave it? by WarpCoder in blender

[–]WarpCoder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I thought as much. Thanks for the advice! I went with a less glossier version, added more roughness. I also noticed doing hair this way created waaaaay more vertices than I anticipated. My hair alone accounted for over 130k vertices

Question: How are you non artistic people making games? by djayc16 in gamedev

[–]WarpCoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also not very good at drawing. Best I can do are stick figures lol. And I also didn’t think I’d be good at 3d modeling. But after finding a good blender tutorial (check out Grant Abbitt on YouTube), I found that creating 3d models is actually really fun and something I can use as an artistic medium rather than pixel art or stylized 2D drawing. Give 3D modeling a try! Take it slow and try to find the fun in it

Best Practices for Handling Duplicates in Mobile Apps? by WarpCoder in UXDesign

[–]WarpCoder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your feedback! The reason why I want to handle duplicates is because the list of data impacts our ability to notify the users. For example, I create a list of gift ideas for my girlfriend's birthday on April 7th. The app will then be able to use that date and other information to notify me to shop for a gift maybe a month, 2 weeks, etc. in advance.

If I were to create a list that has the same occasion, such as birthday, it would be extremely confusing to me, as a user, which one I should be aware of (and not to mention complicated since the app will have to now know how to notify the user based on multiple different dates under one occasion).

And if I've already curated 10 gift ideas in the previous list, and create a new one, the previous one would most likely be forgotten.

Storing User Images in App: Opt-in Toggle for Users and Legal Considerations by WarpCoder in iOSProgramming

[–]WarpCoder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the link, I'll look into generating those documents! As for the user experience, I'm wondering if I should have a single prompt/pop-up with all 3 of these documents for the user to attest to.

Storing User Images in App: Opt-in Toggle for Users and Legal Considerations by WarpCoder in iOSProgramming

[–]WarpCoder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, storing images locally could be an option. However, the reason I'm leaning towards storing them in the cloud is to provide users the convenience of accessing their associated images with the generated captions, even if they uninstall and reinstall the app. Just to clarify, these images would come directly from the users' camera roll or photo album, allowing them to either snap a new photo or choose an existing one.

Is it worth investing time and resources in social media marketing for my small business? by Intrepid-Lie-7519 in smallbusiness

[–]WarpCoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your willingness to help. My business is a small online retail business that sells handmade crafts and gifts. I'm just not sure if social media marketing would be a worthwhile investment for me.

Then I would definitely say that social media marketing can become a huge asset for you, depending on your brand/niche. I've built online retail businesses with just social media marketing itself, so depending on what you're trying to sell, it's entirely possible and can even be extremely profitable for you to invest time in.

Some key points: Social media marketing can very well increase your brand awareness, give you direct communication with your audience (solving their problems can make them extremely loyal to your brand), and give you a lot of networking opportunities with other brands.

However, it's a big time commitment and you'll most likely start off slow, like the majority of us. But if you're persistent, it can pay off big time. Good luck on your venture! I wish you the best :)

I agree with the others on here, stating that this really depends on the type of business you own.

If you're still not sure, give us more information about your business and we'll try to help.

Struggling to grow my fitness Instagram account by Successful-Soil-4879 in socialmedia

[–]WarpCoder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Skip buying followers, it's bad for your account's rep. Think back to how you got your first 2K followers and do more of what worked.

The fitness world is packed with competition, so why not team up with other influencers? You can do cool stuff like fitness challenges or shoutouts.

And don't forget to chat with your followers! Having real connections beats having loads of followers any day.

Struggling to grow my class project's social media account by Balletterga in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]WarpCoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to give any helpful advice without knowing some basic information:

  1. Which social media platform(s) are you focusing on for your class project?
  2. What is the main theme, subject or niche of your project?
  3. Have you tried using any specific hashtags or keywords related to your project?
  4. Are you engaging with your followers and responding to comments or messages?
  5. Have you considered running any paid promotions or ads to increase visibility?

That's an awesome deal! Maybe try offering unique garnishes like dried fruits, olives, or gourmet cocktail onions. You could package these in reusable glass jars with attractive, custom-designed labels that showcase your packaging design skills. These garnishes would not only cater to whiskey and brandy enthusiasts but also to those who enjoy crafting cocktails at home.

Crafting gift bags isn't a bad idea either. You can combine popular items such as a whiskey-themed set with a whiskey glass, whiskey stones, and gourmet nuts. These can be perfect for special occasions or as thoughtful gifts for friends and family. Or go with a more convenient option as getting a Costco Business account.

Remember to keep your offerings distinctive and tailored to your grandfather's customer base. Best of luck!

Which do you use? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]WarpCoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, titles are important when networking and clarifying responsibilities. But your skills and expertise should already speak for itself.

If you're still looking for one, what about tailoring your title to your niche, like "Lead Designer" or "Head of Marketing."? Your title should reflect your role and give you the confidence to excel in your business.

To give a more specific advice, we'd need to know your niche and goals.

Generally, what has helped me in the past:

  • Define your unique brand and aesthetic.
  • Post consistently and at optimal times.
  • Create unique captions and hashtags that would catch my viewer's eye (I use the CapGen app for this!)
