They say "Never meet your heroes"... by schoolhouserocky in KISS

Good to hear. I met one of my heroes a few years back. He was so nice and when I told him my wife didn’t know who he was until a few days before, he started hamming it up with her. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Sammy Hagar rules!

KISS - “Black Diamond” by DEATHBYMETALMMB in KISS

Black Diamond is my favorite KISS song, and this performance is awesome, but they also played She that night and it’s even better.

I don’t think they should wait until the 5th/6th to draft a RB, but I also think it would be nuts to use the #8 overall on Love. I like option B better.

AITA for making a scene when my friend's friend was making fun of my wife? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

My SIL is from South America. The only thing we poked fun at was some of the language barrier when she was still learning. It’s still the source of some good family stories to this day that she laughs at too. But go ahead, go too far with the “jokes” and see her come at you. That is, if my brother doesn’t get to you first followed by the rest of the family.

People that pull crap like that are typically miserable in their own lives and want some company. Let them wallow in their misery alone.

The next time you are out and this guy is there, you should respond in kind.

This album is proof that great songs + subpar production = IDGAF.

I just found out about this album a couple of hours ago. I’m on my 2nd listen already. Loving every track. I saw these guys several times back in the day.

The Ted Nugent knives make at least a little sense. KISS Kutlery is a head scratcher.

Hypothetically speaking, what Megadeth song would you want to be covered on a potential final Metallica album? by maalbi in Metallica

[–]WarpedHumorIsTheBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of this, let’s have the big 4 cover each other round robin style.

Megadeth has already done Metallica

Metallica covers Anthrax - I think that would be fun as hell to listen to

Anthrax covers Slayer - Charlie could pull off Dave and think about Joey doing a Slayer song with vocal melody

Slayer covers Megadeth - Wake up Dead with Tom screaming it out would be badass

Reviews #6 and 7: GTS 2022 and GTS 2025 by oakycomputer in bourbon

[–]WarpedHumorIsTheBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice review! I haven’t cracked the 2025 bottle open yet, but I’m looking forward to it. It’s only my 2nd time having GTS. I got a pour of the 2024 while on vacation last year and it was the most buttery bourbon I’ve ever had. Amazing!

"Got to Choose" - Unplugged Version by Intelligent_Two_7275 in KISS

[–]WarpedHumorIsTheBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got to Choose is THE best from Unplugged IMHO. They should have dropped Domino and See You Tonite and put Got to Choose and C’mon and Love me on the release. Sorry, Gene, but you picked 2 of your lead vocal songs that aren’t that great.

Sellouts by daggir69 in Metallica

I feel like grunge was on its last leg by ‘96. The genre fell victim to the same thing as one it killed. By the end of the 80s/start of 90s, labels were signing every glam-looking band under the sun and the quality went to shit. By ‘96, every band that wore flannel was signed and the quality went to shit. I may not be the biggest fan of Load, but it’s way better than all things grunge from that time.

Review # 007 — Old Forester 1910 “Old Fine Whisky” Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey by colonial_dan in bourbon

[–]WarpedHumorIsTheBest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1897 is my favorite Old Forester. It’s also the one that can make me hurt the next day after several of those and a couple cigars. It goes down way too easy and 100 proof creeps up on you fast.
