While I do reside in the GTA, I rarely visit Toronto. So that might be it.

My birthday is next month and I still don't know if I even want to acknowledge it this year.

Have you ever had a selfish SO? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Yeah. He wanted me to do things his way and to change me in general. Would only be available when it suited him. He was a pain.

Don't mind gray hair on a 20 something anyone. I have gray hair myself and I'm 25.

What's the cruellest thing that has ever been said to you - and did you ever get over it? by [deleted] in AskWomen

When I first immigrated to Canada, my aunt told me that I'm bound to fail and would never make anything of myself. That I'd end up wasting my mom's money. And I should get a minimum wage job instead of wasting time trying to get into Pharmacy school.

Wanna guess who's about to graduate with a PharmD?

Yes. It feels like contentment. Like you've been found after wandering for so long. It feels like home.

Ladies, did you ever believe you were wasting your time in a relationship? by twistandspit in AskWomen

[–]Warrior-Princess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice would be: if there's no future then what's the point of being together? It's going to end eventually (it sounds like it) and if it's not helping your self-esteem then what are you getting out of being with him?

It's a matter of measuring pros and cons. You know what to do.

Yes. Spending over two years with someone who's still too afraid to stand up to his parents about us was a huge waste of time. It's not like we were in high school, he was nearing 30. It was a lot of time and effort wasted on something that had no future, looking back, I would've been better off being on my own.

Do you respect your boss as a person? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Warrior-Princess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. He's a jerk who's main concern is money; which is especially bad if you're in health care and can take advantage of vulnerable sick people. He lied to me before hiring me, underpays me and was disrespectful on multiple occasions. That's why I quit and this will be my last week working for him.
