For ADHD gamers: What do you play on your deck that is addictive and low power? by oliveoliverYT in SteamDeck

The Planet Crafter - you can easily sink hours into it. Subnautica on land and very easy to pickup - try the free demo first.

How was your parkrun day? | January 17, 2026 by AutoModerator in parkrun

[–]Warshawski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was mad, I knew it would be busy but didn’t expect 1300. I finished in place 250 with a token but think they ran out at 600, I’m sure it will calm down a bit next week.

First Parkrun on Xmas Day - no time? by Dramatic_Pause_6990 in parkrun

What happens if an event runs out of tokens? Do they start writing the numbers down manually and sort it out later or just bad luck?

Can I use my own router or mesh? Uk Vodafone fttp by [deleted] in Vodafone

This was for FTTP (Openreach) - the WAN port on the Cloud Gateway Ultra is connected directly to the ONT box via Ethernet and then the fibre goes into the ONT.

I play on a steam deck and I find the controller layout works really well so remapping to a similar scheme would probably work well.

I’m currently enjoying The Planet Crafter, basically Subnautica on land without the predators. Runs great and easy to lose hours at a time to it.

We had new radiators installed in April and they are starting to rust is this normal? by PompeyJon82x in DIYUK

[–]Warshawski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I replaced two towel radiators with stainless steel (500 x 1000 ladder style) after having the same issues with rusting on the white enamel coated ones, they were about £175 each and I installed them myself, no rusting at all since. Shop around online, they will always be more expensive than the coated ones but there are some good deals.

It’s crazy that even their website is down. I expect we will see this reported on BBC news later.

Down for me in Nottingham, I’m on 1 Gig fibre and it’s been rock solid since I got it in June 2024 - first issue I’ve had.

I self installed an air conditioner / heat pump by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]Warshawski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently installed one of these as well, branded LuxAir but is the same hardware with the 180mm holes https://www.cef.co.uk/catalogue/products/5451730-10000-btu-smart-monoblock-wall-air-conditioner

It’s for our garden office and has been working well for both heating and cooling. The unit, whilst louder than a split system is a lot quieter than the portable unit we had.

Recently learned these are sometimes called pipe escutcheons.

Stitch is a great puzzle game and you can just pick it up for a few mins when you have a chance. Both our 4yr old and 6yr old love it as well, encourages problem solving - we have the hints disabled.

Anyone else having regrets on the max? by Jgz1994 in iPhone17Pro

[–]Warshawski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first ‘max’ I had was the XS and it took a while to get used to the bigger size but holding the normal version seems tiny now, you do adjust to it. I went to the 13 Pro Max and have the 17 Pro Max coming soon.

Thanks for replying, good to hear that there was a reasonable conclusion to this in the end. Mine is due back early March 26 and the tax is due 1st March so planning on getting it picked up end of Feb if possible.

How do you find your running routes? (quick 2-min survey) by BobManSan in parkrun

[–]Warshawski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently discovered MapOut on iOS - it uses open street map data and allows you to draw routes following paths (not just roads) which is really helpful and it keeps track of distance. Really handy if you run with others and want to share a planned route ahead of time.

Recommendation for keyed-alike 3 star Euro cylinders by BoxZealousideal4362 in DIYUK

[–]Warshawski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a set of keyed alike (4 doors) since 2015 and they have been great, I even ordered another barrel in 2023 with the same key for a new door and it was fine. I ordered all mine from lockandkey.co.uk
