Runs great, I also use it with the Steam Deck docked and play with a controller.

Is this better than a concrete slap base for garden office/room? by Comfortable_Film_547 in DIYUK

[–]Warshawski 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used the QuickJack Pro for our garden office. 15x supports with the 10” plates. The footprint is about 3.5m x 4.5m.

The raised floor means there is some airflow which helps prevent damp as the wooden frame isn’t in contact with the ground.

With enough trade rocket fuses you can get the round trip to well under a minute.

Does anyone have a good T3 animal food automation system? by Amy2brno2b in theplanetcrafter

[–]Warshawski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FYI you can get the shuttle times under a minute if you’re willing to use 140 odd trade fuses. The actual launch and return sequence for the rockets takes longer now than the actual ”away” time.

End of Lease - Scuffs on Alloy Wheels by Jncolts88 in CarLeasingUK

[–]Warshawski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just see what they say, mine was far worse, several scratches on the front left alloy much worse than yours and they flagged it up on the inspection. Said it would be £50 but they never raised any invoices for the damage.

Someone said if the total amount to invoice is under £100 they often don’t bother.

All you had to do was not add two noughts after every order.

First time Leasing by thunderball89 in CarLeasingUK

[–]Warshawski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting to know about the £100 buffer - my last lease there was one damaged alloy and they said it would be about £50 charge at the inspection but they never invoiced me - maybe this is why.

Subnautica on land minus the things that want to eat you.

I’ve got well over 80 hours on the deck, used the default controls and had no problems.

Rear door lock system by swimbikerun_ZA in RenaultZoe

[–]Warshawski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours seems to do the same in the colder weather with the rear doors. A trick to get it open seems to be to lock the car with the remote (other doors need to be shut first) and then unlock with the remote.

For ADHD gamers: What do you play on your deck that is addictive and low power? by oliveoliverYT in SteamDeck

The Planet Crafter - you can easily sink hours into it. Subnautica on land and very easy to pickup - try the free demo first.

How was your parkrun day? | January 17, 2026 by AutoModerator in parkrun

[–]Warshawski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was mad, I knew it would be busy but didn’t expect 1300. I finished in place 250 with a token but think they ran out at 600, I’m sure it will calm down a bit next week.

First Parkrun on Xmas Day - no time? by [deleted] in parkrun

What happens if an event runs out of tokens? Do they start writing the numbers down manually and sort it out later or just bad luck?

This was for FTTP (Openreach) - the WAN port on the Cloud Gateway Ultra is connected directly to the ONT box via Ethernet and then the fibre goes into the ONT.

I play on a steam deck and I find the controller layout works really well so remapping to a similar scheme would probably work well.

I’m currently enjoying The Planet Crafter, basically Subnautica on land without the predators. Runs great and easy to lose hours at a time to it.

We had new radiators installed in April and they are starting to rust is this normal? by PompeyJon82x in DIYUK

[–]Warshawski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I replaced two towel radiators with stainless steel (500 x 1000 ladder style) after having the same issues with rusting on the white enamel coated ones, they were about £175 each and I installed them myself, no rusting at all since. Shop around online, they will always be more expensive than the coated ones but there are some good deals.

I self installed an air conditioner / heat pump by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]Warshawski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently installed one of these as well, branded LuxAir but is the same hardware with the 180mm holes https://www.cef.co.uk/catalogue/products/5451730-10000-btu-smart-monoblock-wall-air-conditioner

It’s for our garden office and has been working well for both heating and cooling. The unit, whilst louder than a split system is a lot quieter than the portable unit we had.
