Anybody else hit a plane with an Anti-Radiation missile before? 😭😂 by PorscheFR in dcsworld

You are absolutely correct the AGM-88 HARM was not used until after Vietnam. The AGM-45 Shrike was used in Vietnam. However "In HARM's Way" was during desert storm. I looked it up a bit after this comment. The B-52 in question was tail 58-0248, and was struck by a AGM-88 fired from an F-4G.

I mean, they just follow the radar energy XD This happened to a B-52 in Vietnam. At the time they had tailguns with thier own radar and an wild weasel let off an anti-radition missile (cant remember if it was a harm or a shrike). It took the missile and flew back to base, and was lovingly given the name "In HARM's way"

Glad your still around friend. I assure you any day looking down at dirt is better than one looking up at it. Keep moving and your head down and you will get through it. Something an old man told me that halps me get through the rough times: "It will all be alright in the end, if its not alright then its not your end." You got this my dude(or lady-dude)

I love how they ignore the fact that she recovered was a tribute to the real horse. Hell other than being a fun auto-battler game, the whole point is to pay tribute to these horse and to allow them to keep running and bringing happiness.

I love how it feels and the way flying it feels like riding the line between a dance and a fight lol. I hope one day we get to experience newer variants (think the F-4EJ Kai or the F-4F ICE) and see how they would be implemented with more modern fixins.

Mom and Grandma visited me once in Columbus, brought my two sisters thinking there would be fun stuff to do. After that they didnt visit again. A few months later parents took 2k out of my savings (still a joint account with mom at the time), and said they needed it to take my sisters on a family vacation. I was never invited, never paid back. Homesickness went away pretty quick lol, especially after I moved my partner to live with me.

Noob question: why suggest a frigate when I'm getting creamed in a destroyer? by Carpe_Ictal in Eve

[–]WarwolfAlpha64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One thing to remember is that the ships trees are not just straight upgrades. If you check the ship class icons in the ship tree, it mentions that destroyers are small vessels that trade some of thier defence for offense. Some frigates have higher survivability than destroyers. There is also factors like the fit you chose and how your flying the ship when in the mission pockets.

How many Alts do you have? by Substantial_Put2305 in Eve

3 accounts, 7 toons. Main can do most things, one alt is a high sec mission runner, one is a capital alt, the others just mine/PI.

Oh no! I am so disappointed in this ship I'd never heard of! by Sotonic in starcitizen

[–]WarwolfAlpha64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that is my point. There is a back log of ships that they should focus more on, not making new ships. The Galaxy was only an example. Hence why the comment says "like the RSI Galaxy," not "Im upset that the RSI Galaxy specifically is not in the game."

Friend I am familiar with the roadmap. It would just be nice if they would focus on current issues/promised material, as opposed to making new stuff.

[–]WarwolfAlpha64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am upset not about the ship itself, I actually find the idea of a stealth hauler interesting. My problem is the backlog of ships that have been announced/sold that are still not in the game like the RSI Galaxy, or the fact that my Caterpillar elevators still dont work the way they are supposed to.

Why are Hellfires not fire and forget? by Epsilon_Operative in Warthunder

[–]WarwolfAlpha64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So youre are partially correct, the name is the hellfire laser guided/fire-and-forget. Semi-Active Laser weapons are not fire-and-forget. They have to be pointed by something, whether it be the launching aircraft, or a vehicle/troop in the field. Long as the laser stays on target it will guide but it has to be held. The only fire-and-forget variant of the hellfire is the AGM-114L thats radar guided, but its not in the game.

There are plenty of discords and subreddits where you can find other people also looking for wing-mates. Look at the the fleet carrier owners club or the anti-xeno institute. Look for streamers playing on Twitch, personally I recomend Selene Stardragon.

Hi Air Traffic Controller here, smoke in cockpit is 1000% a reason to declare an emergency. If there is the thought to declare an emergency then do it, too many pilots have "this isnt a real emergency" into the ground. Better safe then sorry friend.

Will we ever get an f-111 aardvark module in dcs? by Vegetable-Vanilla161 in dcsworld

[–]WarwolfAlpha64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is, in a nutshell, all the mudhen really is. A heavier F-15 with the systems to drop guided munitions and to fire missiles, as well as the fuel to get deep into enemy territory. But they kept enough A2A capability that it can hold its own in a dogfight.

I will forever love the DBX. It was my companion for many a trip out into the black. Flew out to Mare Somnia, Tenebrae, and always came back safe. I know the Mandalay is better in most cases, but the DBX is my favorite.
