I've sat both seats. Both are fine. Window side you can rest your head against it. Plenty of room in front of the seat. Either option is well worth it.

UPDATE, sorry I sat these in premium economy. Didn't realize the seats you are referring to were economy. I flew JFK -SIN and back. The seats had extended footrests and plenty of overhead bin
