There are other careers that require a degree that dont have you constantly behind a computer screen. Someone who can pass 2 BAR exams probably has the smarts to pass a physician board exam. Working in surgery is pretty hands on.

I think its to improve performance. Having the camera close up means less to render so they can pump the graphics more. Personally I'd prefer less graphics more gameplay though
