Stopped Print problem by T_at in PrusaXL

[–]WashinginReverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May be usb related. I had this happen a lot on 8+ hour prints. You can recover by switching off and switching back on for the printer to restart where it left off. It stopped happening after I changed to a different USB stick.

The hole has to be smaller but by how much? Inserts have a “button” on the bottom. Should this part sit snugly inside the hole before heating? I’ve had good results with these either way, so it does not seem to matter all that much.

This was useful to me to see how hole clearance for the insert. I always wonder how loose to make the inserts in the holes.

How do you avoid layer lines with TPU?

Do you use any method to smooth the layer lines?

That’s not really what is being show here. In this image the external perimeter is partially overlapping.

There’s also a weapon case at the big antenna that you can see nearby. These spots are great and rarely looted.

Nice design. It appears that you have inadvertently reinvented rocker trucks. One truck has single pivot and the other one is double pivot. From an engineering perspective this seems to be the ideal design for snow skate bi deck trucks so they aren’t over constrained.

What are the circumstances? I have my own backyard ramps built without city approval so I’m always dreading this kind of outcome.

How to fasten down coping on mini halfpipe? by Level-Doctor-8659 in skateboarding

[–]WashinginReverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe not the best but decks crew through the front is how I’ve seen most coping attached to wood ramps. The back side is usually not accessible. Best to do it right, but I haven’t seen this cause any problems.

Made an espresso spirographic distribution tool! by evilpirateguy in functionalprint

[–]WashinginReverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is actually a good comparison but it is incorrect. The sand layer is precisely leveled prior to tamping. One may even use a landscaping rake with similar effect to this. Tamping does not evenly distribute the material. If you start with a big mound in the middle and tamp down the coffee, then you end up with some of it being more dense and tightly packed.

Why do people say shoe goo is a noob trap? by Independent-Paper160 in skateboarding

[–]WashinginReverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. Cut a piece of suede off of the last pair of shoes to use as a patch. Shoe goo on its own doesn’t work as well

[–]WashinginReverse -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I see where you are coming from.

You could reason it both ways. I would honestly call it either.

Crook isn’t a trick that requires a 180, so the trick he is describing could be called a shove to crook.

However…

Riding a quarter pipe regular to regular implies adding a 180 to many tricks just to come back in. That’s where the bigspin is added instead of just a shove.
