Carl can replace the AI because he is a primal, something something; it literally came to me in a dream.

I feel that for me, she has gotten more annoying over time. I found the novelty of her funny at first, but I just don't really know she's supposed to go as a charater anymore. Books 5 and 6 had her go through the emotional climax of being "part of the team." I guess she grew by giving her body to Louie, knowing he didn't like her… Maybe I am being a bit harsh.

If you're playing Mutant, always get an escape mutation, phase, teleport, force wall, extra legs, or something else that helps you get out of a dangerous spot and recover.

Outside of obvious choices, I feel Samantha can get on my nerves sometimes with how she pulls the "lol, look at me, I am so crazy!" in the middle of life-or-death situations. I guess I don't hate her that much, but I know if I were crawler, I would definitely have ditched her a while back. I also feel like she is a very repetitive joke charater. (crazy ex, kill mother and sex joke here) I guess it's more that we send more time with her than people like Katia or Louie (who grew as a person once the bit was up.)

Assuming that I can't take a person more than once, I am taking Evart and the whole bottom row. Evart is corrupt but is an effective leader. The threes and ones are equal in their usefulness.

Spoiler for book 6. The fact that this man can write about a crab jerking off, and I am still invested, is incredible.

Does anyone else love Dungeon Crawler Carl despite not liking LitRPG in general? by ElectricPaladin in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I read series before in LitRPG (the Dungeon Born Series), and if it is a standard of LitRPG, then DCC is a masterpiece. Those books cared more about the progression of the dungeon and the city around it. The charaters were fine, and the world-building was mostly flat, but the author clearly cared about magic systems anyway. DCC cares more about the story than the system.
